ENGINE INTAKE ASSEMBLY WITH SELECTOR VALVE
An engine assembly including an engine core including at least one internal combustion engine each including a rotor sealingly and rotationally received within a respective internal cavity to provide rotating chambers of variable volume in the respective internal cavity, a compressor having an outlet in fluid communication with an inlet of the engine core, a first intake conduit in fluid communication with an inlet of the compressor and with a first source of air, a second intake conduit in fluid communication with the inlet of the compressor and with a second source of air warmer than the first source of air, and a selector valve configurable to selectively open and close at least the fluid communication between the inlet of the compressor and the first intake conduit. A method of supplying air to a compressor is also discussed.
Internal combustion engine with exhaust turbomachines
An internal combustion engine has two exhaust valves (24, 25) per combustion chamber (21), and variable valve timing for each exhaust valve. The exhaust valves (24, 25) are associated with respective exhaust tracts (26, 27) including a turbocompounder (31) and a turbocharger (41). The turbine exhaust from one of the turbomachines is directed to turbine inlet of another of the turbomachines.

Engine supercharger
A supercharger includes: an impeller that pressurizes intake air for a combustion engine; a supercharger rotation shaft to which the impeller is fixed; and a supercharger case rotatably supporting the supercharger rotation shaft. A supercharger lubricating fluid passage that guides a lubricating fluid to a bearing housing is formed inside the supercharger case, and an oil filter that removes foreign matter from the lubricating fluid is disposed in the supercharger lubricating fluid passage. The oil filter is detachably mounted on the supercharger case by an operation from the outside of the supercharger.

Engine with supercharger
A supercharger-equipped combustion engine includes a crankshaft extending in a widthwise direction of a vehicle supported by a crankcase and a supercharger disposed above the crankcase. Power from the crankshaft is transmitted through a supercharger transmission to the supercharger. A crankcase body has an opening formed to be opened at the right side in the widthwise direction, and at least a part of the opening is covered with a holder detachably mounted on the crankcase body. The supercharger transmission includes input and output shafts extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle, and the input and output shafts are rotatably supported at first end portions thereof at the right side by first bearing portions formed in the holder and are rotatably supported at second end portions thereof at the left side by second bearing portions formed in a side wall of the crankcase body.

Control apparatus for internal combustion engine
A control apparatus is provided for an internal combustion engine that includes a turbosupercharger, an electric supercharger, and a waste gate valve configured to open and close an exhaust bypass passage. In a single-supercharging range in which an engine torque is less than a torque boundary value, a WGV opening degree is controlled so as to decrease accompanying an increase in the engine torque. Further, in a twin-supercharging range in which the engine torque is equal to or greater than the torque boundary value, the WGV opening degree is controlled so as to increase accompanying an increase in the engine torque, and the electric motor is actuated for supercharging.
