EGR control method of internal combustion engine
The invention has an object to control an EGR amount accurately in transient time. An ECU switches EGR control to the one-valve EGR control and the both-valve EGR control based on a request EGR amount. When the EGR control is switched to the one-valve EGR control from the both-valve EGR control, an EGR valve of one bank is closed first. Next, during a time period until an opening degree restriction time period elapses after the EGR valve is closed, an opening degree of an EGR valve of the other bank is restricted to be smaller than a one-valve target opening degree. Subsequently, when the opening degree restriction time period elapses, restriction of the opening degree of the EGR valve is cancelled, and the opening degree of the EGR valve is changes to the one-valve target opening degree.
Turbocharger
A turbocharger includes a turbine housing and a wastegate valve. The turbine housing defines two bypass passages. The wastegate valve opens and closes the two bypass passages. The turbine housing has a valve seat surface that is a flat surface that the wastegate valve contacts. The wastegate valve has a valve surface and a depression. The valve surface is a flat surface that faces the valve seat surface when the wastegate valve is in a closed state. The depression is depressed from the valve surface. The depression is located at a portion that faces a region located between openings of the two bypass passages when the wastegate valve is in the closed state.
Motor vehicle and adaptation method
An engine system for a motor vehicle is provided. The engine system includes a first exhaust-gas turbine in a first turbocharger driven by exhaust gas from the engine, a second exhaust-gas turbine in a second turbocharger driven by exhaust gas from the engine, a bypass coupled upstream and downstream of the first exhaust-gas turbine, and a pneumatic charge pressure control device including a bypass valve positioned in the bypass and a charge pressure control valve pneumatically coupled to the bypass valve and an intake line downstream of a first compressor included in the first turbocharger, the pneumatic charge pressure control device further including an adaptation unit pneumatically coupled to the bypass valve and an exhaust line upstream of the second exhaust-gas turbine.
Flap device for opening and closing a wastegate channel in a turbine housing of a turbocharger, turbocharger, and method for production
A flap configuration opens and closes a wastegate channel in a turbine housing of a turbocharger. The flap configuration has a lever element having a through-bore in which a cylindrical bushing is arranged. A flap having a pin is arranged on the lever element such that the pin passes through the bushing. A cover disk is arranged on an opposite side from the flap and has an opening through which the pin of the flap passes. The flap is riveted to the lever element by the pin.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE
A control device for a vehicle includes an opening degree sensor to detect an opening degree of a wastegate valve disposed in a bypass passage bypassing a turbine. Circuitry is configured to stop an internal combustion engine while the vehicle is driven by a motor in a motor drive mode. The circuitry is configured to calculate a target opening degree of the wastegate valve to be larger than a maximum error between the opening degree detected by the opening degree sensor and an actual opening degree of the wastegate valve. The circuitry is configured to control the wastegate valve such that the opening degree detected by the opening degree sensor is equal to the target opening degree while the vehicle is driven in the motor drive mode.
Method for controlling an internal combustion engine
A method for controlling an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The method may include receiving knock data corresponding to knock levels over a time period. The method may also include determining from the knock data whether the knock levels change over the time period. Further, the method may include determining that a variation in the gas composition of the gaseous fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine has occurred when the knock levels change over the time period. In addition, the method may include adjusting an operating condition of the internal combustion engine to adapt a knock susceptibility of the internal combustion engine to the varying gas composition.
CONTROL APPARATUS
A control apparatus includes a waste gate valve that opens and closes a passage bypassing a turbine in an exhaust passage of an engine, an air bypass valve that opens and closes a passage bypassing a compressor in an intake passage of the engine, a pressure measuring unit that measures a pressure at a downstream side of the compressor, an air-amount measuring unit that measures an amount of air flowing into the intake passage, an air-bypass-valve controller that opens the air bypass valve when a throttle valve in the intake passage is closed, a closed-state-malfunction diagnosing unit that diagnoses a closed-state malfunction of the air bypass valve based on a fluctuation in the measured amount of air when the throttle valve is closed, and a waste-gate-valve controller that closes the waste gate valve if the measured pressure is lower than a predetermined pressure when the throttle valve is closed.
SUPERCHARGED ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
A control system includes a supercharged engine and an electronic control unit. The supercharged engine including: a combustion chamber; an exhaust passage; a turbine; and an exhaust catalyst. The turbine includes a turbine wheel, and a turbine control valve. The electronic control unit is configured to calculate a first exhaust gas temperature and a second exhaust gas temperature that are temperatures of exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust catalyst. The electronic control unit is configured to control the turbine control valve such that: the turbine control valve is set to the first valve opening degree when the first exhaust gas temperature is higher than the second exhaust gas temperature; and that the turbine control valve is set to the second valve opening degree when the second exhaust gas temperature is higher than the first exhaust gas temperature.
Hybrid vehicle and method of controlling hybrid vehicle
An HV-ECU performs processing including controlling an engine to be in a non-forced induction operation state when an engine has been on and when an engine stop request has been issued, performing processing for stopping the engine when a predetermined first period has elapsed, restricting forced induction and output when the engine stop request has not been issued and when a current time point is immediately after start of the engine, canceling restriction when a predetermined second period has elapsed, and controlling the engine with a position on a higher rotation speed side than a current operating point along an equal power line being set as an operating point when the current time point is not immediately after start of the engine and when a negative pressure is insufficient.
VALVE DEVICE
A valve body includes an arm inserted portion that accommodates a part of a valve arm. A relation of hx<h1 is satisfied, provided that: a surface of the valve body that is in contact with a valve seat when an opening/closing valve closes a passing hole is a sealing surface; the valve arm and the opening/closing valve are in contact with each other on a contact surface when the opening/closing valve closes the passing hole; a surface of the contact surface that is the closest to the sealing surface is a valve-closed contact surface; hx is a size of thickness from the sealing surface to the valve-closed contact surface; and h1 is a size of thickness of the valve body.
