Dual fuel generator system

A movable electrical generation system includes a generator operable to produce a supply of electrical energy, a prime mover operable to drive the generator, and a first fuel supply selectively deliverable to the movable electrical generation system in a first pressure range. A second fuel, different from the first fuel is selectively deliverable to the prime mover in a second pressure range. A controller is operable to automatically deliver the second fuel to the prime mover in response to the first fuel having a pressure outside of the first pressure range.

GENERATOR ASSEMBLY AND MODULAR POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

A generator assembly suitable for being carried on the back of a human comprising an internal combustion engine an alternator and a shaft driven by said engine and driving said alternator wherein when said generator assembly is being carried on the back of a human said shaft is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of said human. This enhances the manoeuvrability of the assembly. Preferably the assembly comprises a generator module having an engine and an alternator coupled directly by a common shaft, the generator module being attached to a frame of the assembly at only two longitudinally spaced-apart positions.

FLEXIBLE DRIVETRAIN FOR MOBILE GENERATOR

A mobile generator includes an engine and an alternator separately mounted on a substantially planar mounting surface, with a flexible drivetrain configured to transmit torque from the engine to the alternator. The flexible drivetrain, which may comprise a universal joint, allows the mobile generator to be transported without the need for re-alignment between the engine and alternator after the generator has reached its destination.

System for providing mobile power

The present invention discloses a system for providing mobile power, in which the required equipment for the power supply system at fracturing fields as well as connection cables and connection hoses are integrated properly, assigned onto three transport vehicles for movement and effectively connected. Intake components and a turbine generation system are combined on a first transport vehicle and installed together, then transported to customer sites directly, thus saving the installation time at the user sites. The two different designs on the locations of an exhaust stack and an exhaust silencer not only meet the requirements of road transportation, but also meet the requirements of exhaust gas emission during operations.

MODULAR POWER PLANTS FOR MACHINES

Embodiments are directed towards modular power plants that provide power to operate machines. A power plant is a combustion-electric hybrid power plant that includes at least one or more engines, one or more generators, and one or more battery arrays. The battery arrays include one or more modular batteries. Rather than the engine directly providing power to the machine, the engine and generators charge the batteries. The batteries provide the power required to operate the machine. A user may vary the maximum power output of the power plant by varying the number and/or type of modular batteries included in the one or more battery arrays. The specific configuration of the batteries may be based on the power requirements of the machine's expected usage or operation. The power plant is configured to a specific machine application by installing and/or removing batteries from the battery arrays based on the machine's power requirements.

Transportation trailer and machinery coupling alignment system

A turbomachinery power generation station can be too large and heavy for transportation. Thus, embodiments are disclosed for separating a full power generation station into road-ready turbine and generator trailers, as well as realigning and recoupling the trailers for operation of the power generation station at a desired destination.

METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR DIAGNOSING AN ENGINE

A system includes a generator coupled to an engine and configured to generate electricity from rotational movement of a shaft of the engine, a sensor configured to measure one or more of a parameter of generator output, engine speed, or engine shaft torque, and a controller configured to detect engine imbalance based on a frequency content of a signal output from the sensor in response to a contribution to the frequency content from another component of the system being less than a threshold value.

Mobile electric power generation trailer system and methods

A method of assembling a mobile electric power generation system comprises providing a generator trailer having an electric generator, a gas turbine trailer having a gas turbine, an exhaust trailer having an exhaust silencer, and an air filter and ventilation trailer having an air inlet device. Each of the trailers further comprise a trailer alignment system. The method includes arranging the gas turbine trailer at a work site such that the generator trailer and the gas turbine trailer are in an end-to-end configuration. The method includes operably coupling each of the exhaust trailer and the air filter and ventilation trailer to the gas turbine trailer, and correcting a position of the at least one of the generator trailer, the gas turbine trailer, the exhaust trailer, and the air filter and ventilation trailer using the trailer alignment system thereof.

Portable generator system for providing temporary power to an electrical-distribution system

A portable generator produces secondary voltage to feed a portable trailer mounted transformer through secondary cables. Transformer voltages are stepped up to primary levels with disconnects/fuses protecting the transformer and generator. From the fuses a primary underground cable feeds a junction box mounted on the bottom side of the portable trailer for underground applications. Overhead applications include a temporary overhead erectable structure with overhead disconnects. A temporary ground rod with a grounding cable is used to establish a path to ground and a common neutral system for the portable trailer and all components of the portable generator apparatus and system.
