Movement of the flexible component in response to rotation of the pivotable arm is converted into linear motion via curved surface on which the flexible component rides. The pivotable arm is rotated in response to actuation of one or more actuators, such as one or more hydraulic cylinders, coupled to the pivotable arm.

The controller configured to receive an input indicative of a target flotation pressure of the arm output a signal to instruct the actuator to set a position of the fluid-filled biasing member relative to the actuator based at least in part on the target flotation pressure of the arm.

The cam shaft includes a first cam follower groove located near the first end and a second cam follower groove located near the second end. The gearbox further includes a drive mechanism, a first output shaft coupled to a first cam follower that travels in the first cam follower groove, and a second output shaft coupled to a second cam follower that travels in the second cam follower groove. The first output shaft is coupled to the first cutterbar and the second output shaft is coupled to the second cutterbar.
