Pressure regulators together with associated methods and systems are provided. An embodiment of a pressure regulator includes a chamber having an inlet port for receiving a fluid and an outlet port for delivering the fluid at a regulated pressure. The pressure regulator includes a diaphragm defining at least part of the chamber, and the diaphragm defining a first orifice therethrough. The pressure regulator includes a spring configured to interact with the diaphragm. The pressure regulator includes an interface operatively disposed between the spring and the diaphragm. The interface includes a contact surface for contacting the diaphragm, and the contact surface is convex toward the diaphragm. The interface defines a second orifice therethrough that is in fluid communication with the first orifice in the diaphragm. The first and second orifices define a relief port for venting the chamber to an ambient environment external to the chamber.

Method for manufacturing a turbine engine part and the thereby produced part

A method for manufacturing a turbine engine part in which a first rough casting element includes a first face and a second face opposite to each other is assembled by the second face on an orifice which has a second element of the part. The method includes machining a through-cavity in the first element which opens at the first face and from the second face of the first element and machining the first face of the first element so as to form an area suitable for ensuring the attachment of a conduit on the first element. The machining of the cavity and of the first face is achieved by using a machining reference frame based on the second element.

Method and apparatus for measuring compressor bleed flow

A gas turbine engine includes a compressor, an annular casing surrounding the compressor, and a bleed flow adapter mounted to an exterior side of the annular casing. The annular casing includes the exterior side and an interior side. The interior side surrounds a compressor bleed cavity located downstream of at least a portion of the compressor. The bleed flow adapter is in fluid communication with the bleed cavity. The bleed flow adapter includes an inlet end, an outlet end, and an inner diameter surface extending between the inlet end and the outlet end. The inner diameter surface defines a bleed passage. The bleed flow adapter further includes a fluid port formed through the inner diameter surface. The gas turbine engine further includes a bleed flow measurement system including a first pressure sensor in fluid communication with the bleed passage of the bleed flow adapter via the fluid port.
