Trimmer head and method of installing pivot posts therein
Trimmer heads for use with a rotary powered trimming device for cutting vegetation and methods of assembling such trimmer heads are provided. A trimmer head has one or more pivoting line holders and includes a single unitary molded housing having at least one recessed cavity located on the upper surface which is shaped and sized to receive a pivoting line holder. The recessed cavity includes reinforcement members for securely retaining the pivoting line holder therein via insertion of a metal bearing ring which allows for free rotation of pivoting line holder about its central axis within recessed cavity.
STRING TRIMMER HEAD
A trimmer head, a line holder and a method. The head may include a housing rotatable about an axis; a line holder supported by the housing, the line holder defining a first receptacle, a second receptacle separated from the first receptacle and an opening communicating with the first receptacle and the second receptacle; and a line supportable by the line holder, the line having a first end and an opposite second end, the line being folded to provide a first line section from the first end toward a folded portion and a second line section from the second end toward the folded portion, the folded portion being insertable into the opening, the first line section being received in the first receptacle, the second line section being received in the second receptacle.

STRAND TRIMMER
A strand trimmer and method of use thereof. The strand trimmer includes a pair of pivotable arms each having a motor, a follower wheel, and a cutter-spindle assembly disposed thereon. The arms are biased toward one another and are guided by the follower wheels to pivot around obstacles passing between the arms. The motor rotates the cutter-spindle assembly to move cutting strands extending therefrom through a cutting path with sufficient rotational velocity to cut vegetation. The cutter-spindle assembly includes a spool and a strand-feed mechanism. The spool is oriented to rotate about a horizontal axis. The strand-feed mechanism includes a solenoid actuated plunger within a shaft of the cutter-spindle assembly. The plunger engages the spool to control rotation of the spool and thereby feeding out of incremental lengths of the strand.

ERGONOMIC GRIPPING MECHANISMS OF AN ELECTRIC CUTTING APPARATUS
Ergonomic gripping mechanisms of battery-operated electric cutting apparatus are provided. The electric cutting apparatus may include a cantilevered cutting head, an adjustable telescoping shaft, a rear grip portion, a pistol grip, and a forearm shaft. The adjustable telescoping shaft may be pivotally connected to the cantilevered cutting head. The rear grip portion may have a first end connected to the adjustable telescoping shaft. The pistol grip may have a first end extending at a first angle from the second end of the rear grip portion. The forearm shaft may extend from the second end of the pistol grip at a second angle. The forearm shaft may have a top side comprising a forearm pad having an exterior surface configured to receive a forearm of a user. The exterior surface of the forearm pad may be parallel to an axis defined by a longitudinal extension of the adjustable telescoping shaft.
POLE POWER TOOL AND FOLDABLE POLE ASSEMBLY
A foldable pole assembly includes a connecting pole assembly and a joint mechanism. The connecting pole assembly includes a first connecting pole and a second connecting pole. The joint mechanism connects the first connecting pole to the second connecting pole and includes a locked state and an unlocked state. The joint mechanism includes an operating member including a first state and a second state. When the operating member is in the first state, the joint mechanism is in the locked state, and when the operating member is in the second state, the joint mechanism is in the unlocked state. The operating member is switched between the first state and the second state through a single motion.

String trimmer support attachment
A string trimmer support attachment. The device includes a base on which the shaft of a string trimmer can be secured. The present invention further includes a pair of legs that are pivotally attached to the base. The legs can be folded so as to be aligned against the string trimmer shaft when not in use. Alternatively, the legs can be folded outward so that the legs are roughly perpendicular to the string trimmer shaft in order to support the head of a string trimmer in an upright and angled orientation that is convenient for changing the trimmer line. Further, in the unfolded configuration the legs are disposed at an angle relative to one another to provide a stable support for the string trimmer, wherein the string trimmer proximal end acts as a third portion of a tripod when the legs are deployed.
Weed and grass trimmer with deflection plates
An improved guard is provided for hand-held cutting edge devices such as lawn trimmers. The guard extends beyond the cutting plane formed by the circular travel of the flexible cutting element. The extended guard protects against foreign objects being propelled by the cutting element, possibly causing damage or physical harm. A cutter may be provided inside the perimeter of the guard, extending into the plane formed by the cutting element to function as a cutter for setting the length of the cutting element being used. The guard may be formed as a single piece or as a composite which when assembled encircles the center assembly of the cutting element.
