Protection and support for vehicle engine components
Vehicle engine systems and protectors for such systems are presented. Vehicle engine systems can include one or more engine components associated with an engine. In some embodiments a protector can be attached to an engine system to substantially cover a portion of one or more engine components. The protector can have a shield and a support. In some arrangements, the shield can be operatively connected to two cylinder banks of an engine. The shield can extend over and substantially cover a portion of a fuel line and/or a fuel line connector. In one or more embodiments, the support can include a support end configured to support a vehicle component such as a throttle body.
Heat shielding structure for intake system for engine of motorcycle
A cylinder of an engine of a motorcycle is tilted frontward. A throttle unit is provided above the cylinder, and a heat shielding sheet is provided between the cylinder and the throttle unit. The throttle unit includes a fuel injection device, and the heat shielding sheet extends between the fuel injection device and the cylinder.
Rotating fuel injector assembly
A rotating fuel injector assembly for a vehicle engine includes a base, an internal tip, an intermediate coaxial tip, and an external coaxial tip. The internal tip may be configured to move between an extended closed position and a retracted open position relative to the base. The intermediate coaxial tip may include an opening defined in a base of the intermediate coaxial tip. The base and the opening abuts the internal tip when the internal tip is in the extended closed position. The external coaxial tip may move between an extended open position and a retracted closed position relative to the base. The external coaxial tip includes a plurality of apertures which may align with the at least one opening in the intermediate coaxial tip at a predetermined event.
Integrated intake plenum and crankcase cover for an outboard marine engine
An outboard marine engine comprises a crankcase; a crankshaft disposed in the crankcase and being rotatable about a crankshaft axis; a crankcase cover on the crankcase, the crankcase cover enclosing the crankshaft in the crankcase; and an air intake plenum that is integrally formed with the crankcase cover. The air intake plenum conveys intake air for combustion in the outboard marine engine.
BLOWBY GAS TREATMENT DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH SUPERCHARGER
Disclosed is a blowby gas treatment device for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, the blowby gas treatment device comprising: a fresh air introduction passage wherein one end of the fresh air introduction passage is connected to an upstream side of the supercharger and the other end is communicated with a crankcase of the internal combustion engine; a first blowby gas passage wherein one end of the first blowby gas passage is connected to a venturi part provided in an upstream side of the supercharger in the intake passage and the other end is communicated with the crankcase; a first check valve being interposed in the fresh air introduction passage and preventing a flow from the crankcase side to the intake passage side; and a second check valve being interposed in the blowby gas passage and preventing a flow from the intake passage side to the crankcase side.
Engine incorporating improved governor linkage
An engine having a linkage assembly, the linkage assembly having a governor lever, a governor shaft, and a throttle link. The governor lever couples the governor shaft to the throttle link. The governor lever is configured to adjust the relative position between the throttle link and the governor shaft. The governor lever has a primary arm and a secondary arm, the primary arm being movable with respect to the secondary arm. The primary arm and secondary arm are secured via a fastener which prevents relative motion between the primary and secondary arms.
