While providing the control such that the air excess ratio falls within the stoichiometric range, if the throttle opening degree control means determines that a value of the torque is smaller than A [Nm], the throttle opening degree control means provides a first control of controlling the opening degree of the intake throttle valve such that the output shaft rotates at a constant first rotation number. If the throttle opening degree control means determines that the value of the torque is larger than A [Nm], the throttle opening degree control means provides a second control of controlling the opening degree of the intake throttle valve such that the rotation number of the output shaft becomes larger.

When a required pressure ratio RP* is less than or equal to a calculation switching pressure ratio RPwot, an engine control unit calculates, as a target opening degree TA*, a throttle opening degree TA at which a throttle upstream-downstream pressure ratio RP is the required pressure ratio RP*. When the required pressure ratio RP* exceeds the calculation switching pressure ratio RPwot, the engine control unit obtains a switching point opening degree TAwot, a switching point load factor KLwot and a maximum load factor KLmax, and calculates the target opening degree TA* as a value that has a linear relationship with the required load factor KL* between the switching point opening degree TAwot and the maximum opening degree TAmax.

Vehicle control device

A control device for a vehicle includes a driver request torque detection unit that detects a driver request torque, a restriction torque calculation unit that calculates a restriction torque being smaller than the driver request torque based on an external request, a corrected torque calculation unit that calculates a corrected torque being greater than the restriction torque, and an engine control unit that controls positions of a throttle valve and an exhaust bypass valve. The engine control unit controls the positions of the throttle valve and the exhaust bypass valve based on the driver request torque during an ordinary drive, and if a prescribed drive condition is satisfied, the engine control unit controls the position of the throttle valve based on the restriction torque and controls the position of the exhaust bypass valve based on the corrected torque.

Systems and methods are provided for providing redundant pulse-width modulation (PWM) throttle control. The system includes a manual throttle controller configured to generate a manual PWM throttle control signal, and an automated throttle control system. The automated throttle control system includes a plurality of automated throttle controllers, each of which being configured to independently control a throttle of a vehicle, and each including a processor configured to generate and output an automated PWM throttle control signal, a first double pole double throw (DPDT) relay that, when engaged, is configured to receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal, and a second DPDT relay, configured to receive and output the automated PWM throttle control signal to an engine, when the second DPDT relay is engaged; and receive and output the manual PWM throttle control signal to the engine, when the DPDT relay is disengaged.

THROTTLE CONTROL METHOD, THROTTLE CONTROL DEVICE, AND THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM

A throttle control method of controlling an opening degree of a throttle valve in a multi-cylinder engine that includes throttle valves in intake passages provided for each cylinder. It is possible to independently control the opening degree for each of the throttle valves. The throttle control method includes controlling the opening degree of the throttle valve is based on differences among intake air amounts in the respective intake passages.

Methods and systems are provided for an engine. In one example, a method comprises stopping an engine via a soft-stop method in response to a likelihood of condensate forming being less than or equal to a threshold likelihood. The method further comprises stopping the engine via an exhaust gas evacuation method in response to the likelihood of condensate forming being greater than the threshold likelihood.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A control method for an internal combustion engine including: setting a target valve opening degree of the first throttle valve in accordance with a load, sensing a valve opening degree of the second throttle valve, judging whether or not the valve opening degree of the second throttle valve is an opening degree on a closing side relative to a predetermined set valve opening degree, and correcting the valve opening degree of the first throttle valve to the opening degree on the closing side relative to the target valve opening degree when it is judged that the valve opening degree of the second throttle valve is the opening degree on the closing side relative to the predetermined set valve opening degree.

Intake system of internal combustion engine with supercharger

An intake system of an internal combustion engine with a supercharger includes: a negative pressure control valve which is disposed in the upstream side than an intake side supercharger in an intake passage; a first external gas introduction passage which introduces a single external gas made of blow-by gas, at a part of the intake passage which is on the upstream side of the intake side supercharger and on the downstream side of the negative pressure control valve; and a fresh air introduction passage which introduces fresh air to an internal combustion engine main body from the upstream side of the negative pressure control valve.
