ENGINE GOVERNOR
An electronic governor system includes a motor, a transmission coupled to the motor, a throttle plate coupled to the transmission, the throttle plate movable to multiple positions between closed and wide-open, wherein power is supplied to the motor to move the throttle pate to a desired position and wherein power is not supplied to the motor to maintain the throttle plate in the desired position.
ENGINE AIR INDUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM INCLUDING A THROTTLE VALVE ASSEMBLY
An engine air induction control system having throttle valve assembly is disclosed, the throttle valve assembly having a streamlined divergent-convergent valve member slidingly mounted within a divergent-convergent valve chamber defined by a wall of a throttle body. The streamlined valve member is moveable towards and away from an inlet passage of the throttle body by an actuator mechanism to vary an annular air flow area defined between the valve member and the wall defining the valve chamber.
BLOWBY GAS TREATMENT DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH SUPERCHARGER
Disclosed is a blowby gas treatment device for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, the blowby gas treatment device comprising: a fresh air introduction passage wherein one end of the fresh air introduction passage is connected to an upstream side of the supercharger and the other end is communicated with a crankcase of the internal combustion engine; a first blowby gas passage wherein one end of the first blowby gas passage is connected to a venturi part provided in an upstream side of the supercharger in the intake passage and the other end is communicated with the crankcase; a first check valve being interposed in the fresh air introduction passage and preventing a flow from the crankcase side to the intake passage side; and a second check valve being interposed in the blowby gas passage and preventing a flow from the intake passage side to the crankcase side.
Electronic governor system and load sensing system
An electronic governor system includes a motor, a transmission coupled to the motor, a throttle plate coupled to the transmission, the throttle plate movable to multiple positions between closed and wide-open, wherein power is supplied to the motor to move the throttle pate to a desired position and wherein power is not supplied to the motor to maintain the throttle plate in the desired position.
Natural Gas Engines With Fuel Quality Determination
A system for determining properties of fuel supplied to an internal combustion (IC) engine and for adjusting operations of the IC engine based on the determined properties. The system includes an air-flow throttle configured to control the air supplied to the IC engine; a fuel-flow throttle configured to control the fuel supplied to the IC engine; and an engine control module (ECM) configured to receive readings from and control operation of the throttles. The ECM is configured to perform a fuel-air determination program where the ECM determines a percent-error air-to-fuel ratio (AF) based on a true AF ratio compared to an ideal AF ratio. The ECM is configured to perform a fuel property determination and adjustment program in which the ECM is configured to adjust operations of the IC engine based on a fuel property value determined using the percent-error AF ratio.
Throttle adjustment during deceleration fuel shut off
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting a throttle during deceleration fuel shut off (DFSO). In one example, a method may comprise controlling a position of a throttle in an air inlet of an engine propelling a vehicle, in relation to vehicle operator commands, and during a deceleration fuel shut off mode, increasing opening of said throttle independently of said operator commands when speed of said vehicle is or is expected to fall below a desired speed or desired speed trajectory.
Gas Engine
While providing the control such that the air excess ratio falls within the stoichiometric range, if the throttle opening degree control means determines that a value of the torque is smaller than A [Nm], the throttle opening degree control means provides a first control of controlling the opening degree of the intake throttle valve such that the output shaft rotates at a constant first rotation number. If the throttle opening degree control means determines that the value of the torque is larger than A [Nm], the throttle opening degree control means provides a second control of controlling the opening degree of the intake throttle valve such that the rotation number of the output shaft becomes larger.
METHOD AND SYSTEM TO MITIGATE THROTTLE DEGRADATION
Methods and systems for operating an engine that includes an electrically operated throttle are disclosed. In one example, mitigating actions are taken in response to degradation of the electrically operated throttle so that the engine may be operated in a way that allows a driver to reach a service area.
INTAKE SYSTEM OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE WITH SUPERCHARGER
An intake system of an internal combustion engine with a supercharger includes: a negative pressure control valve which is disposed in the upstream side than an intake side supercharger in an intake passage; a first external gas introduction passage which introduces a single external gas made of blow-by gas, at a part of the intake passage which is on the upstream side of the intake side supercharger and on the downstream side of the negative pressure control valve; and a fresh air introduction passage which introduces fresh air to an internal combustion engine main body from the upstream side of the negative pressure control valve.
Control apparatus for an internal combustion engine
A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine comprises a throttle upstream pressure estimation unit which calculates, based on an AFS intake air amount from an AFS and an intake manifold pressure, an average density ave(n) in a region combining a supercharged portion from a downstream of a compressor to an upstream of a throttle valve and an intake manifold, and estimates a throttle upstream pressure based on the intake manifold pressure and the average density ave(n). Further, the throttle upstream pressure estimation unit learns a relationship between a throttle opening degree and an effective opening area to correct a throttle upstream pressure estimated value (estimated P2) based on a range of a throttle opening degree learning value, the throttle opening degree learning value, and a dispersion of the actual throttle opening degree error.
