METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE
A method for improving operating a vehicle that includes an accelerator pedal is disclosed. In one example, the method assesses a vehicle for accelerator pedal degradation and applies control actions to the vehicle is accelerator pedal degradation is determined. The control actions may include adjusting a throttle position and adjusting vehicle brakes.
Work machine for lessening damage resulting from an object coming into contact with work portion
A work machine determines, when a request to restart an engine is made, whether or not a reason indicated by stop information stored in a memory is a reason related to locking of the work portion. The machine sets an operation mode of the engine and a work portion to a safe mode if it determines that the reason indicated by the stop information is a reason related to locking of the work portion. The safe mode is an operation mode for lessening damage resulting from causing the engine and the work portion to work during the work portion locked or damage resulting from an object coming into contact with the work portion during the engine and the work portion working.
WEAR MONITORING FOR ELECTRICAL ACTUATORS
Methods and systems that monitor an actuator state of wear. One or more observations are made as to one or more extremum positions of the actuator to determine a reference extremum position when the actuator is not worn. As the actuator becomes worn, the difference between a present extremum position and the reference is used to monitor actuator wear. Actuator wear may be observed to identify or predict a need for maintenance or replacement, and/or may be used in determining health impacts of control system solutions.
DIAGNOSIS OF A FAULT IN THE VALVE PLAY OR THROTTLE OF A LAWNMOWER
Disclosed is a method for establishing an engine maintenance diagnosis. The engine includes a throttle which regulates air access into an air intake system of the engine, a position sensor which measures the position of the throttle, a manifold in fluidic communication with the throttle, a pressure sensor which measures the pressure in the manifold, at least one intake valve, a richness probe which measures an oxygen level and a richness controller for modifying the proportions of air and fuel in the air-fuel mixture. The method uses two air flow measurements in order to identify a problem in the throttle or the play at the valves.
Method and system for carrying out an on-board diagnostic function of a vehicle
A method for carrying out an on-board diagnostic function of a vehicle includes activating an on-board diagnostic function of the vehicle and subjecting a predefined gas pedal value of the vehicle to low-pass filtering in order to obtain a smoothed gas pedal value.
ANALOG CONTROLLER FOR ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY
A throttle assembly for an engine may include a remote throttle lever, a sensor, and a terminal. The remote throttle lever may be coupled physically to a user input device and operable to be moved under control of the user input device. The sensor is configured to detect a position of the remote throttle lever and generate an output signal indicative of the position of the remote throttle lever. The terminal configured to provide the output signal to a controller of the engine.
JET PROPULSION WATERCRAFT
A jet propulsion watercraft includes a watercraft body, a drive source in the watercraft body, a jet pump to suck and eject water with a drive force from the drive source to generate a propulsive force, a vibration sensor, and a controller. The vibration sensor is located in the jet pump to detect vibration of the jet pump. The controller is configured or programmed to determine whether or not a detection result from the vibration sensor meets a predetermined condition. The controller is configured or programmed to, when it is determined that the detection result from the vibration sensor meets the predetermined condition, inform a user of user-oriented information.
Control Device
It has been difficult to appropriately determine the abnormality of a drive source due to the influence of variation in driving operation amount and operation state of a vehicle. In this regard, an in-vehicle control device 217 includes: a requested torque calculation unit 100 which calculates a requested torque on the basis of a driving state of a vehicle; a requested torque change amount calculation unit which calculates the amount of change in requested torque per unit time as a requested torque change amount; an estimated generation torque calculation unit 111 which calculates estimated generation torque estimated as being generated by an engine 201; an estimated generation torque change amount calculation unit which calculates the amount of change in estimated generation torque per unit time as an estimated generation torque change amount; and an abnormality detection unit 112 which detects an abnormality of the engine 201 on the basis of the integrated value of a difference between the requested torque change amount and the estimated generation torque change amount, and outputs abnormality determination for the engine 201.
RESET MECHANISM FOR ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY
A reset mechanism for an electronic throttle body comprising a valve, a throttle shaft, a reset gear, an upper spring seat, a lower spring seat, and a reset spring. A support leg is installed in the reset gear. The upper spring seat, the reset spring, and the lower spring seat are sleeved outside the reset gear. Two ends of the reset spring are fixed to the upper spring seat and the lower spring seat, respectively. The upper spring seat has an upper support leg surface attached to a first side of a valve limiting block and a side of the support leg. The lower spring seat has a lower support leg surface attached to a second side of the valve limiting block and another side of the support leg.
CONTROL APPARATUS
A control apparatus includes a throttle configured to adjust an amount of air flowing in an intake passage of an engine, an accelerator opening sensor configured to detect an accelerator opening, a throttle opening sensor configured to detect an opening of the throttle, and a control unit configured to control the opening of the throttle. The control unit includes a setting unit configured to set a target opening and set a control amount of the throttle based on a deviation between the target opening and the opening detected by the throttle opening sensor, and a correction unit configured to, if the target opening is not more than a predetermined opening, set a correction amount of the control amount such that the opening of the throttle becomes large independently of the deviation.
