METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CARRYING OUT AN ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION OF A VEHICLE
A method for carrying out an on-board diagnostic function of a vehicle includes activating an on-board diagnostic function of the vehicle and subjecting a predefined gas pedal value of the vehicle to low-pass filtering in order to obtain a smoothed gas pedal value.
CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A control device of an internal combustion engine can respond to the variation of the flow reduction rate attributable to the difference in a clogging condition, and which can detect a deposit accumulation amount even if no idle condition is provided like HEV, etc. In a control device of an internal combustion engine, a map correction section determines a correction amount in accordance with an approximate line result based on an air amount at a predetermined opening degree at which the measurement of the air amount by an air flow meter is sufficiently performed with the exception of a first predetermined opening degree in the case where the measurement of the air amount by the air flow meter has not been performed sufficiently in the first predetermined opening degree in a current operation cycle.
Control device for hybrid vehicle
An ignition switch is turned on, and when an abnormality is detected in any of electronic control instruments or sensors, real failure is established, and a fail-safe process is performed. After a lapse of a predetermined period from the establishment of the real failure, fault determination is established, a failure level is sent, and a hybrid fail-safe process is performed. Then, when the abnormality is eliminated, the real failure is not established, and the fail-safe process of an engine is finished. Then, when the ignition switch is turned off and then again turned on, sending of the failure level to a hybrid control unit is stopped, and the hybrid fail-safe process is finished.
Valve control device
An ECM determines a failure exist and a failure site in a control valve device from first and second failure diagnoses. In the first failure diagnosis, a failure is determined to have occurred if an opening amount that represents an absolute value of a difference between a detected opening amount and a target opening amount of a valve body is greater than a preset threshold when the target opening amount of the valve body is constant for a predetermined time. In the second failure diagnosis, a failure is determined to have occurred if an opening amount that represents the absolute value of the difference between the opening amount of the valve body when fully open or fully closed and the detected opening amount is greater than the preset threshold when a portion rotating integrally with the valve body has been pressed against a stopper continuously for a predetermined time.
Verification module for verifying accuracy of a controller
The invention relates to a verification module (118) for verifying accuracy of a controller (116). The controller (116) is arranged to generate a demand based on a first input and a second input. The verification module (118) comprises; a calculation module (120) arranged to calculate an expected demand; a correction module (122) arranged to calculate an error between the demand and the expected demand and modify the expected demand to reduce the error; and a limiter (136) arranged to limit the demand in response to the error being greater than a threshold.
Engine
An engine includes an engine stop switch for stopping the engine, and a cooling part included in a holding portion or passage of a cooling liquid. The engine stop switch is placed at the cooling part or at a peripheral part of the cooling part.
Damage protection for multi-function axle
A method of protecting a multi-function drive axle system from damage, comprising the steps of: determining the axle torque and speed from sensors positioned on the multi-function drive axle system; using the axle torque and speed to approximate damage values for the driveline of the multi-function drive axle system; comparing the approximated values of driveline damage with driveline damage durability targets; identifying if the approximated values of driveline damage exceed the driveline damage durability targets; and limiting the engine torque and/or speed to produce an axle torque and speed corresponding to driveline damage values that do not exceed the driveline damage durability targets.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A control method for an internal combustion engine including: setting a target valve opening degree of the first throttle valve in accordance with a load, sensing a valve opening degree of the second throttle valve, judging whether or not the valve opening degree of the second throttle valve is an opening degree on a closing side relative to a predetermined set valve opening degree, and correcting the valve opening degree of the first throttle valve to the opening degree on the closing side relative to the target valve opening degree when it is judged that the valve opening degree of the second throttle valve is the opening degree on the closing side relative to the predetermined set valve opening degree.
Vehicle Throttle Locking Circuit and Method Thereof
A vehicle throttle locking circuit and method are provided. A control unit receives detection voltages from a pedal sensor and, when a clamping actuation signal is ON, digital clamping voltages are gradually reduced according to the detection voltages. A D/A conversion unit converts the digital clamping voltages to analog clamping voltages. A variable voltage clamping unit clamps the detection voltages according to the analog clamping voltages. The gradual reduction of the digital clamping voltages are stopped when the detection voltages are already clamped at an idle condition so that the pedal is effectively locked at the idle condition. As such, the present invention not only provides anti-theft function, but also avoids traffic accident and hazard to the safety of the driver or passers due to the vehicle's sudden loss of power.
Throttle filter system and method
A method of filtering a targeted frequency from a pedal input signal is provided. The method includes the steps of sampling the pedal input signal at a sampling frequency, calculating a moving average of the pedal input signal from samples of the pedal input signal, and outputting a filtered signal based on the moving average. A throttle filter system is also provided. The system includes a pedal configured to be actuated to set a desired acceleration of a vehicle, a position sensor configured to convert a position of the pedal into an electrical signal, a vehicle driveline configured to accelerate the vehicle, and a filtering module configured to accept the electrical signal from the position sensor and to filter the electrical signal to remove oscillations at a targeted frequency. In the system, the driveline accelerates the vehicle based on the filtered electrical signal.
