Agricultural harvester storage tank cover
09955630 · 2018-05-01 · ·

An agricultural harvester including a storage tank that includes a tank body and a tank cover assembly. The tank cover assembly has a travel state and an operational state. The tank cover includes a fabric wall element which is moveably connected to the tank body. In the operational state, the fabric wall element provides an upward extension of at least a part of the circumferential wall. In the travel state, the fabric wall element covers at least a part of the open top of the tank body. The fabric wall element includes a rigid area. The cover actuator assembly includes at least one cover actuator that is adapted to bring the tank cover assembly from the travel state into the operational state and vice versa, and to engage the fabric wall element at the rigid area.

Equipment protection using a grain tank level sensor

A grain tank level sensing system for a combine which harvests grain. The combine includes an upwardly open grain tank fillable with harvested grain and a cover that is displaceable for closing off the open grain tank. An actuator displaces the cover between an open and close position and either single or dual ultrasonic sensors continuously detect the level of grain in the tank and generate a signal proportional to the level of grain in the grain tank. A control system receives the signal from the ultrasonic sensors and generates an indication of the level in the tank to a monitor and/or disables the actuator to initiate the closing function when the grain tank is full.

Grain tank with force assisting element for cover

An agricultural harvester includes a chassis and a grain tank carried by the chassis. The grain tank includes a frame having an opening formed therethrough; a pair of tank cover sections movably associated with the frame such that the tank cover sections can switch between an open position and a covering position relative to the opening of the frame; and at least one actuator linked to at least one of the tank cover sections and configured to selectively provide a switching force. The agricultural harvester further includes a force assistor or a brake linked to one of the pair of tank cover sections and configured to apply an assist force or a braking force, respectively, to one of the pair of tank cover sections but not the other of the pair of tank cover sections.

LIFT SYSTEM FOR BUBBLE UP AUGER OF COMBINE HARVESTER

A bubble-up auger assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes an auger at least partially surrounded by an outer tube. A bracket is configured to be non-rotatably connected to a rockershaft of the agricultural vehicle for rotation about a first axis. A slide rod is connected to the outer tube and the bracket. The slide rod is configured to cause the auger to move between a raised position and a lowered position in response to rotation of the bracket. In the lowered position of the auger, an axis of rotation of the auger is oriented oblique to the first axis.

Harvested material receptacle for a harvester having foldable extension elements

A harvested material receptacle for a harvester. The harvested material receptacle includes a hopper that is open at the top with a substantially polygonal opening cross-section and extension elements arranged in pairs opposite each other. The extension elements are each pivotably articulated about a substantially horizontally running pivot shaft at the edge of an opening of the hopper to transition the extension elements from a substantially closed transport position into an open receiving position and vice versa, wherein the extension elements that are opposite one another lie sandwich-like on each other when in their transport position.

Harvester with tank expansion

A harvested material tank of a harvester is disclosed. The harvested material tank comprises a tank expansion formed from a plurality of movable elements. At least one of the plurality of movable elements includes at least one access flap that, when in an open position, offers access for a user to the interior of the harvested material tank.

Disclosed is a grain cart having an inverted V-shaped ridge on top of the cover of the flow gate system to reduce the grain load on the blades and the force required to move them. The ridge includes supports for a walkway that provides safety to cleaning, inspection and maintenance personnel for mechanisms at the bottom of the hopper, in particular the sweep auger and the flow gate system, without affecting the unloading rate. Such supports include a series of inverted V-shaped plates placed on edge to reduce the obstruction to the passage of grains, the plates having a horizontal upper web that forms a non-slip surface for the operator to walk on the walkway. The ridge with walkway only occupies the central portion of the ridge, leaving a free area towards the sides that allows the free passage of grains and pellets of compacted wet grain during unloading.
