Vibration reduction device upon key-off of engine and method thereof
A vibration reduction device upon KEY-OFF of an engine may include a fuel injection device for injecting fuel stored in a fuel tank into a combustion chamber of an engine depending upon a target torque value, a measurement device for measuring the RPM and the rotational torque of the engine, and an controller for detecting whether or not an engine becomes KEY-OFF and when it is determined to be in KEY-OFF state, setting a reference torque value, and setting a torque value changing the reference torque value depending upon a predetermined reference as the target torque value and controlling the fuel injection device to finely inject fuel into the engine depending upon the target torque, thus reducing engine vibration.
CONTROL METHOD FOR ISG OF VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND VEHICLE OF WHICH THE CONTROL METHOD IS APPLIED
A control method of controlling an idle stop-and-go (ISG) function of a vehicle provided with a manual transmission includes: determining, by a controller, whether an ISG function activation condition is satisfied based on vehicle running state information of the vehicle; stopping an engine, by the controller, when the ISG activation condition is satisfied; determining, by the controller, whether a first starting condition in which a shift stage of the manual transmission is a neutral stage is satisfied; determining, by the controller, whether a second starting condition in which a shift stage of the manual transmission is a driving stage is satisfied; and restarting, by the controller, the engine when the first starting condition or the second starting condition is satisfied. The vehicle running state information includes: an operation information of the manual transmission and a clutch pedal, and current and recorded vehicle speeds of the vehicle.
CONTROL METHOD FOR SSC AND ISG OF VEHICLE AND VEHICLE TO WHICH THE CONTROL METHOD IS APPLIED
A control method for an SSC function and an ISG function includes: determining, by a controller, whether a SSC activation condition is satisfied based on a vehicle running state information; stopping, by the controller, an engine and activating the SSC function by controlling a transmission to neutral when the SSC activation condition is satisfied; determining, by the controller, whether a first ISG operation condition including a first reference vehicle speed is satisfied based on the vehicle running state information in a state that the SSC function is activated; and deactivating, by the controller, the SSC function and activating the ISG function when it is determined that the first ISG operation condition is satisfied.
Engine control system
In a control system for an internal combustion engine, a control unit controls a throttle valve provided in an intake pipe and/or an on-off valve provided in an exhaust gas recirculation pipe when an ignition switch is turned on, in such a manner that an opening degree of the throttle valve and/or an opening degree of the on-off valve is made to be larger than that of a condition before the ignition switch is turned on. In the above Ig-on control, in which the throttle valve and/or the on-off valve is largely opened, a piston is reciprocated in order that gas in a combustion chamber is discharged to an outside of the combustion chamber.
Cam phaser control systems and methods for engine off conditions
A control system of a vehicle includes: an electric motor configured to phase rotation of an camshaft of an engine relative to rotation of a crankshaft of the engine; a current module configured to, while the engine is off: selectively transition a current signal back and forth between a first state and a second state; and a motor driver module configured to, while the engine is off: apply power to the electric motor from a battery and adjust a position of the camshaft toward a predetermined position when the current signal is in the first state; and disconnect the electric motor from the battery and allow the position of the camshaft to move away from the predetermined position when the current signal is in the second state.
MULTIPLE FUEL TANK PURGE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A multiple fuel tank purge system and method includes providing a pair of fuel tanks, including a main fuel tank for containing impure fuel and a separate, auxiliary fuel tank that contains commercial canned fuel. The engine runs on the impure fuel from the main fuel tank while the engine is in normal use, and then employs a shutdown cycle that switches to the commercial canned fuel from the auxiliary fuel tank for some pre-set time period. This arrangement allows the engine to be purged of the impure fuel (by burning the impure fuel during the shutdown cycle) and replaced by the commercial pre-mixed fuel before the engine is finally shut down. The system may further include a novel fuel cap with a fuel line, a tank within a tank fuel container, and/or an electronically actuated shutdown cycle mechanism.
Staple cartridge having staple cavities extending at a transverse angle relative to a longitudinal cartridge axis
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
ENGINE KILL SWITCH AND CONTROL ASSEMBLY
A speed regulating circuit in communication with an ignition circuit having a primary coil coupled to an ignition member to cause an ignition event within an engine, the speed regulating circuit being arranged to selectively prevent energy from the primary coil from being discharged to the ignition member to selectively prevent an ignition event. In at least some implementations, the speed regulating circuit includes a bidirectional or bilateral triode thyristor having an anode coupled to the primary coil and an anode coupled to ground, and an input gate that may be selectively actuated to route to ground energy received at the triode thyristor from the primary coil to inhibit transfer of energy from the primary coil to the ignition member. The triode thyristor may be selectively actuated, for example, as a function of engine speed, such as an engine speed above a threshold speed.
SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLING SHUT-OFF OF VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A system for automatically controlling shut-off of a vehicle includes: a sensor that senses existence of a user in the vehicle; and a vehicle controlling device that determines whether the vehicle is in an idle state, determines whether a user exists in the vehicle based on a sensing value of the sensor, controls the vehicle to automatically shut off, and notifies a user of a vehicle state.
