Electric power control with a dither signal
A method for controlling a current flowing through a consumer comprises the following steps, which are periodically traversed: determining a dither current based on a dither signal and a definite point in time, wherein the dither signal is determined by a frequency, an amplitude and a signal form and actuating a flow control valve to produce the sum of a target current and the determined dither current by the consumer. Furthermore, the method comprises determining an indication to the current flowing through the consumer; compensating the indication by the factor of the dither current; and providing the indication, wherein the determination of the dither current and the determination of the indication are synchronized with each other in a predetermined way.
Fuel injector driver for cold start of high resistance injector
An engine control system includes a fuel injector and a sensor that is configured to provide a signal indicative of a temperature. A controller is in communication with the sensor. The controller includes a fuel injector driver in communication with the fuel injector. The fuel injector driver includes a saturated mode and a peak and hold mode. The controller is configured to command the fuel injector driver to control the fuel injector with one of the saturated mode or the peak and hold mode based upon the signal. For a high resistance injector, the peak and hold mode is used in cold weather conditions to break free an injector seal, and then the fuel injector driver reverts to the saturated mode.
CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
A control device according to an embodiment includes a storage, a determining unit, and a driving unit. The storage stores therein information on a hysteresis area of an actuator. The determining unit determines, based on a control mode, a target current value according to the hysteresis area whose information is stored in the storage. The driving unit supplies a driving current according to the target current value determined by the determining unit to the actuator.
Control device for internal combustion engine
A control device for an internal combustion engine is provided which can stabilize behavior when a fuel injection valve is opened, and reduce a variation in the amount of fuel injection of the fuel injection valve. A control device (200) for an internal combustion engine includes high voltage difference detection means (404) for obtaining a difference between a predetermined reference voltage (403) and a real high voltage detected by a high voltage detection means (402), drive current difference storage means (406) for storing in advance the amount of device difference variation of a real drive current detected by drive current detection means (408), and drive control value correction means (409) for correcting at least one of a target value of a drive current to a fuel injection valve (105) and a target value of a drive time, on the basis of at least one result of the high voltage difference detection means and the drive current difference storage means, and corrects a target control value of the fuel injection valve on the basis of at least one detection result of the variation of the detected high voltage and the variation of the current for driving the fuel injection valve.

Method for controlling the injection quantity of a piezoinjector of a fuel injection system
A method for controlling the injection quantity of a piezoinjector of a fuel injection system, which comprises a nozzle needle displaceable by a piezoactuator. Based on the instantaneous injection quantity, a selection is made among various control methods. In a ballistic injector mode, a first control method is carried out, wherein both a needle closing point in time is equalized and a needle travel time is also equalized. In a full stroke injector mode, a second control method is carried out, wherein a needle closing point in time is equalized, but the needle travel time is not equalized.
