In one embodiment, a method for the engine includes injecting fuel via activating an injector for a determined activation time, the activation time determined based on a commanded fuel value and a function of a modified pressure difference across an orifice of a nozzle of the injector, where the modified pressure difference is based on a difference between a rail pressure and peak cylinder pressure, the peak cylinder pressure scaled by a function of engine speed and injection timing and the pressure difference offset by a correction factor.

FUEL INJECTION CONTROLLER
A fuel injection controller includes a discharge switch that turns ON/OFF energization of a first energization path from a boost power source of a second booster circuit when a second control IC energizes a second solenoid, a first detection element that detects a value that depends on an energization state of the discharge switch, a constant current switch that turns ON/OFF energization of a second energization path from a power source voltage that outputs a lower voltage than a boost power source voltage when the second control IC energizes the second solenoid, a second element that detects a value that depends on an energization state of the constant current switch, and an energization path controller that switches energization to the second solenoid.
Pressure sensor of a high-pressure injection system, control device, high-pressure injection system, and motor vehicle
Various embodiments include a method comprising: moving a piston toward TDC in successive pump cycles; during the movement, closing an inlet valve by applying current to an electromagnet; generating a pressure signal downstream of the outlet; applying a measurement current to the electromagnet when the inlet valve is closed; while the piston moves away from TDC, detecting an opening position at which an opening movement of the inlet valve begins on the basis of a predetermined change with respect to time of the measurement current; checking whether a value sequence of the ascertained opening positions over multiple pump cycles satisfies a predetermined discrepancy criterion with regard to the sensor signal; and if the discrepancy criterion is satisfied, generating a fault signal relating to the pressure sensor.
Adjusting an attenuation current of an injection valve of a high pressure injection system
Various embodiments include a method for adjusting an initial attenuation current for an injection valve comprising: moving a piston to a TDC; while moving the piston, closing an inlet valve; expelling the fluid; moving the piston away from TDC and applying an attenuation current to an electromagnet with the inlet valve still closed; switching a source for the attenuation current off; detecting an induction pulse resulting from an opening movement of the inlet valve by monitoring a current intensity signal of a subsequent decay in the current; adjusting a current intensity over a plurality of pump cycles to a current intensity level; checking for each current intensity level whether a time profile of the induction pulse satisfies a predetermined detention criterion; and when the detention criterion is satisfied, adjusting the current intensity level for future pump cycles to a lower current intensity level than the most recent level.
Fuel injection control device
A fuel injection control device has a conduction time calculation unit, a setting unit, a conduction control unit, a detection unit, an estimation unit, and a changing unit. The conduction time calculation unit calculates a conduction time of an electric actuator corresponding to a requested injection quantity during partial lift injection. The setting unit sets a command conduction time. The conduction control unit energizes an electric actuator on the basis of a command conduction time set by the setting unit. The detection unit detects a physical quantity having a correlation with an actual injection quantity during partial lift injection. The estimation unit estimates an actual injection quantity on the basis of a detection result of the detection unit. The changing unit changes a lower limit time on the basis of a deviation between an estimated actual injection quantity and a requested injection quantity.

A method for ascertaining the movement of an armature of an electric intake valve, an electrical variable of the electric intake valve being controlled to predefined values with the aid of a two-position controller, a characteristic point in time of the movement of the armature being ascertained based on the switching behavior of the two-position controller.
System and method for controlling fuel supplied to an engine
Systems and methods for injecting fuel to an engine in response to a fuel injection delay are presented. The method includes determining fuel delay in a fuel injected engine with cylinders that may be deactivated. In one example, the fuel injection delay is determined via a cylinder firing schedule array when the cylinder firing schedule array is available. The fuel injection delay is determined via a weighted average of a fuel injection delay of a present engine cycle and a fuel injection delay of a past engine cycle when the cylinder firing schedule array is not available.
