Header with flexible crop cutting knife mounted on flex blades
A crop harvesting header having a frame mounted on a propulsion vehicle has a cutter bar carrying a sickle knife and a draper transport. The draper is guided at its front edge by a longitudinally extending rail mounted on the frame for movement therewith. The cutter bar is mounted on the frame at spaced positions by spring blades attached to a fixed beam at the rear which allow up and down flexing movement of the cutter bar relative to the draper engagement member. At the center discharge the cutter bar is carried on shorter blades which are carried on a beam in front of the front draper roller. The small amount of flexing of the cutter bar combines with a balanced three piece header frame to provide effective ground following.
Drive system having hydraulic power transmission for a harvesting header of a harvester
A drive system for a harvesting header of a harvester includes a drive motor, and a drive train connected between the drive motor and one or more driven elements of the harvesting header. The drive train has a variable-displacement hydraulic pump arranged on board the harvester and a hydraulic motor connected in a closed circuit to the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic motor is mounted on the harvesting header and detachably connected by hydraulic coupling connections to the hydraulic pump.
DRAPER HEADER WITH FLEXIBLE CROP CUTTING KNIFE
Harvesting header for a grain harvesting machine
A harvesting header for a combine harvester comprises a central header section and two lateral header sections hinged to and arranged to rotate relative to the central section for assuming a working configuration, in which the three header sections are mutually horizontally aligned, and a transport configuration, in which the lateral header sections overlap the central section. The header sections are provided with a support frame and a cutting bar associated with the support frame by a hydraulic suspension and comprising a blade having substantially trapezoid-shaped knives capable of to-and-fro movement by a motor-driven control member. The header sections also include a pick-up reel supported on the support frame by means of swivel arms, a transport belt conveyor arranged downstream of the cutting bar and configured to feed the material cut by the cutting bar downstream of the harvesting header toward a rear part of the harvesting header.
Center knife drive and roller assembly for an agricultural harvester
A header for an agricultural harvester comprising a frame and first and second anteriorly facing, epicyclical cutter bar knife drives connected to the frame. A roller shaft extends between and operatively connects the first and second epicyclical drives. The roller shaft operates to deliver to crop material to a header infeed conveyor. In addition, the anteriorly facing epicyclical knife drives effectively rid themselves of harmful dirt and debris thereby prolonging the service life of the epicyclical knife drives.
Automated hemp field harvester
An automated hemp field harvester can be driven by a tractor or attached to various types of self-propelled machines. The automated hemp field harvester has a set of two combing belts that rotate up vertically with a plurality of comb assemblies for stripping the buds and flowers from the hemp plant as the automated hemp field harvester is directed down the row of hemp plants. A set of winged plates in front of the combing belts gather the hemp plants and directs them into the drive assemblies. The comb assemblies are inclined in an upward direction and strip the buds and flowers from the stalks and stems. There is a deflecting plate at the top end of the combing belts to deflect the buds and flowers in a controlled manner to a product discharge conveyor belt to be loaded into a trailer or wagon for removal from the field.
HYDRAULIC SICKLE KNIFE DRIVE ON A COMBINE HEADER
A sickle knife drive for an agricultural vehicle generally includes a first pump, a first motor, a second motor and a drive manifold having a plurality of connections used for connecting to other devices of the sickle knife drive and/or to devices outside of the sickle knife drive. Operation of the first pump in a forward direction causes the first motor to drive a sickle knife gearbox to cut a crop. During the forward direction, the second motor provides cooling to the fluid circuit. When the first pump direction is reversed, the agricultural vehicle supplements a fluid flow to the fluid circuit to clear any jammed crop from the sickle knives.
AGRICULTURAL HEADER WITH DAMAGE-REDUCING CLUTCH
An agricultural header includes: a header frame; at least one cutting unit carried by the header frame and including a cutting element and a driveshaft coupled to the cutting element; and a gearbox configured to drive the cutting element. The gearbox includes a gearbox output rotatably coupled to the driveshaft; and a clutch including an intermediate shaft and at least one clutch shoe rotatably coupled to the intermediate shaft and displaceable between a non-engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe does not engage the gearbox output and an engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe engages the gearbox output. The clutch is configured such that the at least one clutch shoe displaces to the engaging position when a rotational speed of the intermediate shaft reaches a threshold value.
COMBINE INCLUDING FEEDER HOUSE DRUM HAVING A SWEEP ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF HARVESTING
A harvesting combine having a feeder house drum assembly is provided herein, wherein the feeder house drum may include a sweep assembly that provides sufficient grasp upon the crops without having a damaging effect, wherein the crop throughput is improved while reducing damage to the crop. Coupling to receive the crop bearing grain from a conveyor, the sweep assembly may comprise either a panel or brush assembly coupled to a respective one of a plurality of paddle anchors that couple to the feeder house drum. In particular, each brush assembly may include at least one row of finger members coupled to a brush base, wherein the finger members may be arranged in tufts and received in stepped openings through the brush base. The finger members may include at least one row of straight or curved brush bristles; or at least one row of curved elongated fingers.
