SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A POSITION OF A REEL OF AN AGRICULTURAL HEADER

A header system for an agricultural harvester includes a first reel section, a second reel section, and a sensor configured to generate data indicative of a parameter related to a crop within a field. The header system also includes a controller configured to receive the data and to control a first actuator to adjust the first reel section independently from the second reel section based on the data as the agricultural harvester travels through the field.

An agricultural system includes a header and a controller. The controller is configured to receive a first input indicative of a set profile of the header, in which the set profile comprises a target position of the header for a non-harvesting mode, store the set profile of the header. The controller is further configured to receive a second input indicative of a selection of the non-harvesting mode, output a first signal to instruct the agricultural system to operate in the non-harvesting mode in response to receiving the second input, and output a second signal to set a current position of the header based on the set profile in response to receiving the second input.

CONTROL OF A HEADER OF A HARVESTER DURING A NON-HARVESTING MODE

An agricultural system includes a header and a controller. The controller is configured to receive an indication to operate the agricultural system in a non-harvesting mode, output a first signal to set the header in a set profile upon initialization of the non-harvesting mode, receive sensor feedback indicative of an obstacle position of an obstacle relative to the header while the agricultural system operates in the non-harvesting mode, and output a second signal to adjust the header to deviate from the set profile based on the sensor feedback while the agricultural system operates in the non-harvesting mode.

An agricultural vehicle header having a center section, a wing section, a hinge connecting the center section's lower frame to the wing section's lower frame, and a torque transfer linkage connecting the center section's upper frame to the wing section's upper frame. The torque transfer link has a first link, a second link, a first pivot connection joining the first link to the center section upper frame, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the first link and the center section upper frame, a second pivot connection joining the first link to the second link, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the first link and the second link, and a third pivot connection joining the second link to the first wing section upper frame, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the second link and the first wing section frame.

MULTI-SEGMENT HEADER FOR AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER

A multi-segment header for an agricultural harvester including a multi-segment chassis and a backsheet supported by each of the multi-segment chassis. The multi-segment header further includes a backsheet extension assembly that has a backsheet extension mounted adjacent a top end of each backsheet, and an articulating joint extending between adjacent backsheet extensions. The articulated backsheet extension assembly follows upward and downward movement of the backsheets of the multi-segment chassis and blocks grain from passing over the backsheets and going unharvested.

AGRICULTURAL HEADER WITH FLEXIBLE JOINT

An agricultural header for use with an agricultural harvester is configured to cut crop when the agricultural harvester moves in a direction of travel. The agricultural header comprises a first frame, a side draper belt supported by the first frame and positioned to receive cut crop and advance cut crop laterally relative to the direction of travel, a second frame, a center draper belt supported by the second frame and positioned in register with the side draper belt to receive cut crop laterally therefrom and advance cut crop rearwardly toward the agricultural harvester opposite to the direction of travel, and a joint interconnecting the first frame and the second frame and enabling relative fore-aft and lateral translation between the first frame and the second frame.

ROAD TRAVEL SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE

An agricultural vehicle having a chassis, wheels, a power unit, and a header. The header has a center section, at least one wing section extending laterally from the center section, and a wing section support. The center section is movable relative to the chassis, the wing section is movable relative to the center section, and the wing support is movable relative to the wing section. The combine has a control system that is configured to determine that the combine is configured to drive at a road-driving speed, and in response to such determination: operate a center section actuator to move the center section to a raised center section position, operate a wing section actuator to move the wing section to a raised wing section position, and operate a wing support actuator to move the wing support to a raised wing support position.

Crop header with wing balance calibration

In a crop harvesting header with a center section and two wings where each wing is pivotal relative to the center section about a pivot axis extending in a generally forward direction which includes a balance system to maintain a balanced ground force distribution across the width of the header there is provided an automatic adjustment system for maintaining proper balance. The system includes a sensor which repeatedly, over a time period during which the header is operating, detects data relating to the positions, distance from the ground or weight applied to the ground of each wing frame portion, a processor arranged in response to the sensed data to calculate a value representative of the positions and an adjustment mechanism for effecting an adjustment of the balance system in response to the value.
