Crop Header with Wing Balance Calibration
In a crop harvesting header with a center section and two wings where each wing is pivotal relative to the center section about a pivot axis extending in a generally forward direction which includes a balance system to maintain a balanced ground force distribution across the width of the header there is provided an automatic adjustment system for maintaining proper balance. The system includes a sensor which repeatedly, over a time period during which the header is operating, detects data relating to the positions, distance from the ground or weight applied to the ground of each wing frame portion, a processor arranged in response to the sensed data to calculate a value representative of the positions and an adjustment mechanism for effecting an adjustment of the balance system in response to the value.
Cutting Unit Having Movable Sidewalls
The present invention relates to a cutting unit (2) for attachment to a harvester. In order to reduce the size of the clearances at the outer ends of the conveying elements in which, depending on the pivoting position of the frame elements relative to each other, the conveying elements are ineffective, the sidewalls (14) are designed to be movable transversely to the working direction (A) of the cutting unit (2) and relative to the frame (22) or the respective associated frame elements (24a, 24c).
Cutting Unit Having a Multi-Part Height-Adjustable Reel
The aim of the invention is to increase the feed rate of the cutting unit while achieving lower costs. This aim is achieved, according to the invention, in that at least two reel support arms (26) supporting a reel part (24a, 24b, 24c) are interconnected, for conjoint rotation, by means of a torsion shaft (30a, 30b), the reel support arms (26a, 26b, 26c, 26d) and the torsion shaft (30a, 30b) form a reel support unit (32), the reel support unit (32) is connected to an adjustment drive (28a, 28b), which acts on one or more reel support arms (26a, 26b, 26c, 26d) and/or on the torsion shaft (30a, 30b) and, in the event of adjustment movements of the remotely controlled adjustment drive (28a, 28b), raises or lowers the associated reel part (24a, 24b, 24c), the torsion shaft (30a, 30b) has, on a first side, a bearing point (34) fixed in the axial direction of the torsion shaft (30a, 30b), and the torsion shaft is mounted, on a second side, in a plain bearing (38).
Agricultural header with one or more movable wing sections
An agricultural header includes a main section and at least one wing section, which is pivotably coupled to the main section. The main section includes a main frame. The at least one wing section includes a wing frame. The header further includes a cutting element, a linkage, and an actuator. The cutting element is supported by the main frame and the wing section. The linkage pivotably couples the at least one wing section to the main section. The linkage includes an upper bar and a lower bar which are both coupled to the main frame and to the wing frame. The actuator is coupled to at least one of the upper bar, the lower bar, and the at least one wing section.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VISUALIZING THE ORIENTATION OF HARVESTING IMPLEMENTS
In one aspect, a system for visualizing the orientation of a harvesting implement configured for use with an agricultural harvester. The system includes a display device and a computing system communicatively coupled to the display device. The computing system is configured to receive data associated with an orientation of at least one section of the harvesting implement, and cause an implement orientation interface to be presented on the display device. The implement orientation interface includes an implement interface element representing the at least one section of the harvesting implement and at least one curved display indicator positioned relative to the implement interface element, with the at least one curved display indicator providing an indication of the orientation of the at least one section of the harvesting implement.
SINGLE TOP BEAM FOLDING CORN HEAD MAINFRAME
A header for a harvester includes a hinge assembly, a center portion having a single center top beam that spans laterally relative to a longitudinal centerline of the header, and a wing portion having a single lateral top beam that is arranged forward of and lower than the single center top beam. The wing portion is attached to the center portion by the hinge assembly wherein the wing portion is pivotable between an unfolded position wherein the wing portion extends laterally away from the longitudinal centerline and a folded position wherein the lateral top beam nests forward of and below the center top beam. A cradle member may be attached to the center portion, the cradle portion receives the lateral top beam when the wing portion is in the folded position. The hinge assembly positions the lateral top beam forward of and below the center top beam in folded and unfolded positions.
AGRICULTURAL MACHINE WITH SECTIONAL HEADER
An agricultural vehicle including a chassis and a sectional header system carried by the chassis. The sectional header system includes a center section connected to the chassis, at least one additional section, and at least one coupling assembly that removably connects the center section to the at least one additional section. The at least one coupling assembly includes at least one actuator connected to the center section and the at least one additional section. The at least one actuator is located underneath the pivot point. The at least one additional section is configured for being coupled to the center section in harvesting of a crop material and decoupled from the center section and subsequently towable in transportation of the sectional header system.
