Feeder conveyor assembly tensioning mechanism

A feeder for a combine harvester, the feeder including a housing and a conveyor assembly mounted in the housing. The conveyor assembly includes a frame having lateral support arms, and moveable belts guided by sprocket wheels. The sprocket wheels are mounted on a drive shaft proximate an outlet section of the housing and on a conveyor shaft proximate an inlet section of the housing. The sprocket wheels are mounted on a drive shaft proximate an outlet section of the housing and on a conveyor shaft proximate an inlet section. The conveyor assembly is equipped with a first and second tensioning mechanism, the first mechanism being configured to push the conveyor shaft forward with respect to the frame, the second mechanism including spring-operated tensioning arms and tensioning rolls mounted above the support arms.

A locking mechanism for an agricultural header includes a rod that extends laterally along the header and a hook coupled to the rod. The rod is configured to rotate in a first direction to transition the locking mechanism to a first position and rotate in a second direction, opposite the first direction, to transition the locking mechanism to a second position. The hook is configured to engage an arm of the header. The arm is configured to support a cutter bar assembly of the header and is configured to rotate about a pivot joint relative to a frame of the header. The rod is configured to rotate in the first direction to engage the hook with the arm to block rotation of the respective arm, and the rod is configured to rotate in the second direction to disengage the hook from the respective arm to enable rotation of the arm.

Header securing mechanism for a combine harvester

In a combine harvester, the header is lifted up by the feeder and secured thereto by a mechanism including a pair of securing pins on the feeder's carrier structure. The securing pins are provided with stops protruding towards the header and which include a sloped surface, configured to interact with positioning aids on the header. The lateral outward or inward movement of the securing pins is driven by a centrally placed actuator. As the actuator is extended, the positioning aids roll or glide down the sloped surfaces, enabling a gradual approach of the header towards the feeder, up to a point where the securing pins become aligned with slots on the header. Continued actuation of the pin motion then establishes the securing of the header to the feeder.
