Arrangement for controlling the height and/or incline of a combine header for harvesting thin-stemmed crops

An arrangement for controlling the height and/or incline of a combine header for harvesting thin-stemmed crops includes a control system which is connected to a sensor for detecting the height of the combine header above the ground, and to an actuator for controlling the height and/or incline of the combine header and which can be operated to control the actuator in dependence on signals of the sensor. A mulching appliance with a cultivating tool for shredding plant stumps is attached to the combine header in a vertically movable manner following the contour of the ground, and the sensor is set up to detect the position of the mulching appliance relative to the combine header.

Automatic header latch

An attachment system for an agricultural vehicle including a feeder housing and a header. The attachment system includes at least one feeder connecting member configured for being located on and movably connected to the feeder housing, and at least one header connecting member configured for being located on the header. The at least one feeder connecting member is automatically connectable and securable to the at least one header connecting member as the feeder housing lifts the header.

Feederhouse assemblies having biased lock pins, agricultural harvesters, and related methods

A feederhouse assembly for an agricultural harvester includes a frame, a header lock pin, a biasing member coupled to the frame and the header lock pin, and a latch coupled to the frame and the header lock pin. The biasing member is configured to urge the header lock pin outward to lock a harvesting header to the frame. A rotatable latch in a first positron protrudes from the frame and retains the header lock pin in an inward positron. The latch in a second position permits the header lock pin to travel outward. A method includes applying a force from a harvesting header on a latch protruding from a frame of a feederhouse, pushing the latch to release a header lock pin from an inward position, and urging the header lock pin outward to lock the harvesting header to the frame.

INFEED BELT CONVEYOR AT COMBINE FEEDER

A header of a combine harvester includes a belt conveyor configured to direct a movement of harvested crop material toward a feederhouse of the combine harvester. The belt conveyor is located adjacent an inlet of the feederhouse. The belt conveyor includes at least one protrusion extending radially from the belt conveyor that helps direct movement of harvested crop material toward the feederhouse.

A feederhouse assembly for an agricultural harvester includes a pitch frame adjacent the inlet end of a feederhouse and arranged to pivot relative to the feederhouse, and a hydraulic cylinder and a spring coupling the pitch frame to the feederhouse. A method of connecting a harvesting header to an agricultural harvester includes applying a spring force to a pitch frame adjacent an inlet end of a feederhouse, applying a hydraulic force cylinder to the pitch frame, balancing the hydraulic force and the spring force when the pitch frame is in an orientation corresponding to an orientation of the harvesting header, moving the agricultural harvester toward the harvesting header, and securing the harvesting header to the pitch frame. The spring force is oriented to rotate the pitch frame downward, and the hydraulic force is oriented to rotate the pitch frame upward.
