INTEGRATED THRUST REVERSER ACTUATION SYSTEM

A turbofan engine assembly having a turbine engine and a nacelle that surrounds at least a portion of the turbine engine to define an annular bypass duct that defines a forward-to-aft bypass air flow path. The turbofan engine assembly further comprises a fixed portion and a movable portion which is movable in a direction along the bypass air flow path to an opened position that defines a thrust reversing outlet through which at least a portion of the bypass air flow may be directed. At least one actuator moves the movable portion to the opened position.

AIRCRAFT WITH INJECTION COOLING SYSTEM AND INJECTION COOLING SYSTEM
20170342905 · 2017-11-30 ·

An aircraft with a turbofan engine assembly having at least one compressor, a nacelle surrounding the turbine engine and defining an annular bypass duct between the nacelle and the turbine engine, a thrust reverser having at least one moveable control surface, a thrust reverser locking system configured to selectively lock the thrust reverser and an injection cooling system

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A TRANSLATING COWL THRUST REVERSER

A system and method for monitoring a thrust reverser system are provided. The embodiments described herein utilize sensors located proximate locks comprising a thrust reverser locking system. The provided system and method detect deflection and displacement proximate the locks to determine when individual locks have failed.

THRUST REVERSER ASSEMBLY
20170328306 · 2017-11-16 ·

A thrust reverser assembly for a gas turbine engine including a core engine, a nacelle surrounding at least a portion of the core engine to define a bypass duct between the nacelle and the core engine, including a translating cowl moveable between a first position and a second position, a blocker door movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The thrust reverser assembly includes multiple actuator assemblies to both translate the cowl and deploy the blocker door.

THRUST REVERSER OF A TURBOFAN POD COMPRISING A SINGLE CONTROL FOR MOVABLE COWLINGS AND A VARIABLE NOZZLE
20170298870 · 2017-10-19 · ·

A thrust reverser of a turbofan pod is provided that includes movable cowlings that retract relative to stationary front structure to reveal stationary or movable thrust reverser cascades, as well as a secondary variable nozzle section connected to the movable cowlings by guiding means enabling movement controlled by actuators engaged with the front structure to apply an axial thrust. The actuators are directly connected to the secondary nozzle, and in that the thrust reverser comprises latches connected to the movable cowlings, having two positions providing, alternately, latching onto the front structure or latching onto the control of the secondary nozzle.

BLOCKER DOOR LINK ARM AND FITTING

Systems for thrust reverser link arm connections are described herein. A fitting for a thrust reverser link arm may comprise a base plate configured to be fastened to a proximal surface of an inner fixed structure (IFS), a first wall extending orthogonally from the base plate, a pin extending orthogonally from the first wall, a second wall extending orthogonally from the base plate, a removable member, a first column located between the first wall and the second wall, and a second column located between the first wall and the second wall. The removable member may surround at least a portion of the pin. The removable member may be removed from a radially outward side of the IFS.

Engine thrust reverser lock

In some aspects, an aircraft engine thrust reverser lock system includes a pin-capturing member. The pin-capturing member includes a body that is rotatable about an axis defined by a pivot extending through the body. The body includes an interior surface that defines a slot. The slot has an opening that is sized to receive a pin into the slot. One side of the slot includes a protruded sidewall surface that protrudes into the slot toward an another sidewall surface of the slot. The protruded sidewall surface defines an apex between the open and closed ends of the slot. Between the apex and the closed end of the slot, the protruded sidewall surface faces the rotational axis.

THRUST REVERSER ACTUATOR
