EJECTION CONE HAVING A FLEXIBLE AERODYNAMIC ATTACHMENT
The invention relates to an assembly for an aircraft turbomachine, comprising a central element (1) for the ejection of gas, and a connecting flange (9) interposed between, upstream, a gas outlet (22a) made of metal for a turbomachine, and, at the downstream end, the central element (1). The connecting flange comprises an annular portion (9a) and flexible tabs (11) having axially: a first end (111a) where the tab is connected to the said annular portion, and a second free end (111b), projecting radially inwardly with respect to the first end and to which said tab is attached with the central element (1).
ACOUSTIC SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR URBAN AIR MOBILITY VEHICLES
An acoustic system for an Urban Air Mobility (UAM) vehicle may comprise: a first shroud configured to be disposed around a rotor of the UAM vehicle, the first shroud comprising: a radially inner wall configured to be spaced radially outward from a blade tip of a rotary blade of the rotor, the radially inner wall including a perforated portion; and a hollow chamber defined by an internal surface of the first shroud and the radially inner wall.
Radial strut frame connection between fan case and core housing in a gas turbine engine
A gas turbine engine includes a fan rotor driven by a fan drive turbine about an axis through a gear reduction to reduce a speed of the fan rotor relative to a speed of the fan drive turbine. A fan case surrounds the fan rotor, and a core engine with a compressor section, including a low pressure compressor. The fan rotor delivers air into a bypass duct defined between the fan case and the core engine. A rigid connection is between the fan case and the core engine including a plurality of radial struts rigidly connected to the fan case, and to the core engine. A plurality of non-structural fan exit guide vanes and the non-structural fan exit guide vanes are provided with an acoustic feature to reduce noise. The non-structural fan exit guide vanes are rigidly mounted to at least one of the fan case and the core engine.
LOW-FREQUENCY ACOUSTIC CENTER BODY
A center plug includes an inner skin, the inner skin extending along an axial centerline; an outer skin positioned radially outside the inner skin; a forward bulkhead connected to and extending radially outward from the inner skin; an aft bulkhead connected to and extending radially outward from the inner skin; and an acoustic panel, the acoustic panel including a first sheet having a first plurality of perforated walls and a first plurality of non-perforated walls, a second sheet having a second plurality of perforated walls and a second plurality of non-perforated walls, the first sheet being sandwiched together with the second sheet to form an N-shaped structure having a combined plurality of perforated walls and a combined plurality of non-perforated walls.
Acoustic liner with obliquely angled slots
An acoustic liner for a gas turbine engine includes an acoustic panel that is curved about a central axis. The acoustic panel includes a support backing, a face sheet, and a cellular structure disposed between the support backing and the face sheet. The face sheet has elongated slots that extend along respective slot centerlines in the plane of the face sheet. The slot centerlines are sloped at oblique angles to the central axis.
Turbomachine nacelle having acoustically porous walls
A nacelle for a turbomachine is provided and includes an inner wall that is annular about a longitudinal axis of the nacelle, the annular inner wall being designed to surround part of the turbomachine. The nacelle further includes an annular outer wall surrounding the annular inner wall. The annular outer wall includes a first acoustically porous part, and the annular inner wall including a second acoustically porous part. The first and second porous parts are arranged facing one another so as to allow soundwaves, emitted by the turbomachine housed in the nacelle, to pass through the annular inner wall and then the annular outer wall so as to escape from the nacelle.
Acoustic panel core with multi-material and/or multi-layered construction
An acoustic panel is provided that includes a perforated first skin, a second skin and a corrugated structure. The corrugated structure is between and is connected to the perforated first skin and the second skin. The corrugated structure includes a first baffle, a first septum, first material and second material that is configured with the first material. The first baffle is formed by an uninterrupted portion of the first material. The first septum is formed by a portion of the second material that is exposed through an interruption in the first material.
THRUST REVERSER CASCADE INCLUDING ACCOUSTIC TREATMENT
A cascade for a thrust reversal device intended to be mounted on a turbomachine of an aircraft, the cascade including first partitions extending in a first direction, second fixed partitions extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and a frame inside which the first and second partitions extend, the frame including at least two fixed walls extending according to the first direction, and at least one part of each first partition extending between two second partitions. At least one first partition is mobile according to the second direction between a first position wherein the first partition is distant, in the second direction, from the fixed walls to form a plurality of resonating cavities with the first partitions and/or the fixed walls, and a second position wherein the one first partition is in contact with a fixed wall or another first partition.
STRUCTURAL AND/OR ACOUSTIC PANEL COMPRISING A U-SHAPED SEALING FLANGE DIRECTED TOWARD THE INSIDE OF THE PANEL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A PANEL
A structural and/or acoustic panel including an inner skin, an outer skin, a honeycomb structure and at least one sealing flange. The sealing flange has a U-shaped section directed toward the honeycomb structure and is clamped with the honeycomb structure between the inner and the outer skins. A method for manufacturing such a panel by soldering the component elements thereof is also disclosed.
UNIT CELL RESONATOR NETWORKS FOR TURBOMACHINERY BYPASS FLOW STRUCTURES
An acoustic attenuation structure for a gas turbine engine includes a periodic structure having a first unit cell, the first unit cell having a first central body and a first axial tube disposed on the first central body and a second axial tube disposed on the first central body, opposite the first axial tube, each of the first axial tube and the second axial tube being in fluid communication with one another through the first central body.
