Attachable Lug For Corn Gathering Belts
A crop gathering belt includes a gathering belt carcass and a plurality of attachable lugs for connecting to the gathering belt carcass on a first side of the gathering belt carcass, and a system for securely attaching the lugs of the plurality of lugs, to the gathering belt carcass. The gathering belt carcass further includes a plurality of drive lugs disposed on a side opposite the first side of the gathering belt carcass. The crop gathering belt may be useful as a corn gathering belt. In some cases, the gathering belt carcass and the plurality of attachable lugs are formed of like rubber materials, while in some other cases, the gathering belt carcass and the plurality of attachable lugs are formed of dissimilar rubber materials. In yet other cases, the gathering belt carcass is formed of a rubber material, and the plurality of attachable lugs formed of a polyurethane material.
Deckplate auto adjustment mechanism for a harvester row unit
A row unit for a header of an agricultural harvester is provided that includes a first longitudinally extending stripping plate and a second longitudinally extending stripping plate each mounted on a frame and each having opposed stripping edges which define a gap between the first stripping plate and the second stripping plate. The row unit includes both operator-selected macro adjustment of the gap and automatic micro adjustment of the gap. The micro adjustment occurs on both deck plates. The micro adjustment is achieved through resilient members positioned functionally between the deck plates and the row unit frame.
System and Method for Converting Cutting and Gathering System of a Corn Head
A system for modifying a row unit of a harvesting head, the system including at least one cutting disk adapted for being rotatably mounted to the frame of the row unit between a gathering chain drive sprocket and idler sprocket. The cutting disk includes a sprocket attached thereto for being engaged and driven by the gathering chain in order to rotate the cutting disk. Two counter-rotating cutting disks may be provided, each being driven by a separate gathering chain. A method for modifying a row unit includes loosening the gathering chains, removing existing stalk rolls and housings, installing a cover plate over a gearbox to which the housings were mounted, removing existing trash knives, drilling holes in the row unit frame for mounting the cutting disks, installing the cutting disks, and tightening the gathering chains such that the gathering chains engage sprockets attached to the cutting disks.
Stalked crop harvesting header frame
A stalked crop harvesting header include multiple harvesting units each including a set of deck plates defining a channel, a set of snapping rollers mounted below the deck plates and adapted to grasp and pull stalks downwardly through the channel, and a pair of gathering chains adapted for conveying stalks along the channel. Each harvesting unit further includes a stalk guider at either side of a front end of the channel. Each stalk guider includes an upper stalk guiding wheel and a lower stalk guiding wheel carried by a frame. The frame includes a protrusion between the upper and the lower stalk guiding wheels, which protrusion includes a support for carrying a respective front end of the snapping rollers.
Knife rolls with differing lengths
Stalk rolls are used for a corn harvester or combine having a chassis, an engine, a cab mounted to the chassis with a head mounted at the front of the body. The head includes an auger, row separators, corn stalk gathering assemblies between the row separators and ear removal assemblies. Each ear removal device includes a pair of stalk rolls. Each stalk roll has a core and longitudinally extending flutes about a periphery of the corn extending along the core. Each stalk roll has a straight first section and a tapered second section. The flutes on each stalk roll have different lengths and end at different locations at the front of the stalk roll. The flutes of the stalk roll may also have notches and different shaped leading edges.
Adjustable ear dam for a corn header
An agricultural header connectable to an agricultural vehicle including a frame, at least one row unit connected to the frame and including at least one gathering chain, at least one crop dividing member connected to the frame, and a crop saving attachment supported by the at least one crop dividing member and being adjustable between a lowered position and a raised position. The crop saving attachment including a base member fixedly attached to the at least one crop dividing member, an upper member movably attached to the base member and configured for adjusting between the lowered and raised positions, and a pair of flaps supported by the base member and slideably associated with the upper member so that a resting position of the pair of flaps remains substantially unchanged as the upper member is adjusted.
Gathering chains for row crop harvester heads
Gathering chains for row crop harvester heads which improve yield by minimizing the loss of kernels that may prematurely break loose and be lost to the ground. The gathering chains include continuous loops with a plurality bristle blocks removable attached to the continuous loops. Each of the plurality of bristle blocks include bristles extending laterally therefrom, whereby the bristles form a substantially continuous lateral conveying surface effectively closing an area above and across the width of the slot defined by the stripper plates. The bristles may include fine bristle filaments and coarser bristle filaments that are shorter than the fine bristle filaments.
Center tracking dual synchronous belt system
Synchronous belt systems include two or more sprockets, a first endless belt, and a second endless belt. The belts are connected together with belts attachment hardware through belt ports, and a belts gap is defined between the first endless belt and the second endless belt. Each of the sprockets includes sprocket teeth and sprocket tooth spaces between adjacent teeth of the sprocket teeth, and each of the sprockets has a sprocket center ridge. The belts each include a plurality of belt split teeth, and each split tooth of the plurality of belt split teeth has a first belt ridge, a second belt ridge and a belt split tooth space disposed between the belt ridges. The belts gap engages the sprocket center ridge of each of the sprockets, and each of the belts attachment hardware is disposed within the adjacent belt split tooth spaces of the belts.
Row unit for a corn head assembly having a top plate with a structured surface
A row unit of a corn head assembly for an agricultural harvester capable of reducing grain loss is provided. The row unit includes a frame and first and second spaced apart row unit arms mounted to the frame, and a top plate. The top plate is positioned about a rear end of the frame and includes an outer surface having a retaining structure configured to inhibit a flow of grain in a forward direction along the outer surface.
Corn head row unit gearbox drive shaft seal
A corn head row unit gearbox includes an input shaft, that rotates about a first axis of rotation and that drives a set of gears. The gears transfer rotation of the input shaft into rotation of a gathering chain output shaft about a second axis of rotation, generally transverse to the first axis of rotation. The gathering chain drive shaft rotates within a bushing mounted within a frame structure of the gearbox. A bushing seal has an annular mounting sleeve with an inner diameter that is press fit over a boss on the frame structure.
