20230323841 · 2023-10-12 ·

The invention relates to a system for supplying a gaseous fuel that comprises a low temperature tank for receiving the fuel in its liquid aggregate state achieved by cooling and comprises a rail that is fluidically connected to at least one injector device for discharging gaseous fuel into a combustion space. The system is characterized in that it has a pressure store that is configured to receive gaseous fuel and that is fluidically connectable to both the low temperature tank and the rail to buffer fuel coming from the low temperature tank and to supply it to the rail.

Systems for methanol vaporization

An exhaust heater system includes an exhaust heater and an air supply tube disposed within the exhaust heater. Relatively hot exhaust gas from an engine is directed into the exhaust heater, whereby heat from the exhaust heats the interior of the air supply tube. The heat partially vaporizes liquid methanol injected into the air supply tube. To control the amount of heating, the exhaust can be directed to the air supply tube as well as an exhaust bypass, whereby exhaust directed to the exhaust bypass does not heat the interior of the air supply tube.

Generation and regulation of HHO gas

An HHO gas second fuel is produced in a pressure-resistant container and distributed at a low volumetric rate at multiple locations about the internal combustion engine.

BENZENE BATTERY CYCLE

The present invention proposes a thermochemical battery cycle, termed a Benzene Battery cycle, for efficiently storing electric and/or thermal energy for later and/or distant use. The methods and apparatus herein proposed utilize reversible endothermic fluid and exothermic fluid thermochemical means for efficiently storing H2 in a liquid state at STP. The present invention is generally based on the technology disclosed in U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,225,538, 3,067,594, and 3,871,179, wherein techniques are described for creating a unique thermochemical cycle, termed the Bland/Ewing Cycle (B/E Cycle) after the co-inventors, involving “molecular expansion” and “molecular compression”. The present invention is also based on US Patent Application #18-0954634 which proposes optimizing endothermic and exothermic “segments” for the creation of either Combined Heat and Power (CHP) or Combined Cycle (CC) applications.

Split Cycle Engine

A split cycle internal combustion engine includes a combustion cylinder accommodating a combustion piston and a compression cylinder accommodating a compression piston. The engine also includes a controller arranged to receive an indication of a parameter associated with the combustion cylinder and/or a fluid associated therewith and to control an exhaust valve of the combustion cylinder in dependence on the indicated parameter to cause the exhaust valve to close during the return stroke of the combustion piston, before the combustion piston has reached its top dead centre position (TDC), when the indicated parameter is less than a target value for the parameter; and close on completion of the return stroke of the combustion piston, as the combustion piston reaches its top dead centre position (TDC), when the indicated parameter is equal to or greater than the target value for the parameter.

WORKING MACHINE

A working machine includes: a machine body; a prime mover that is mounted on the machine body; a fuel cylinder that contains a fuel; a vaporizer that vaporizes the fuel sent from the fuel cylinder and supplies the fuel to the prime mover; a temperature detector that detects a temperature correlating with a decrease in the temperature of the vaporizer; and a controller that imposes restraint on the flow rate of the fuel flowing from the vaporizer to the prime mover when the temperature detected by the temperature detector is lower than or equal to a first temperature.
