A filter medium is provided with a first layer as a support layer and a second layer as a filtration layer arranged downstream of the first layer. The first layer and the second layer both are provided with at least one active agent that is at least antibacterial. The active agent can be applied as a coating or as an impregnation. Examples of active agents are pyrithione, a metal salt of pyrithione, a pyrithione derivative, a metal salt of a pyrithione derivative, and a quaternary ammonium salt. A filter element is provided with such a filter medium in the form of a filter media pack. The filter medium and filter element can be used in a water injection system for internal combustion engines.

An engine having a cylinder fastened to the engine ease with the biconcave internal partition, which divides the cylinder into the upper and bottom parts. Sparking plugs are mounted on both sides of the partition. The upper and the bottom parts of the cylinder have side scavenging channels which connect suction spaces to the working spaces of both parts of the cylinder. The upper and bottom parts of the cylinder have inlet and outlet orifices. Inside the upper and inside the bottom part of the cylinder and the upper and bottom piston are placed respectively, while both pistons are directed towards each other by the working surfaces. The pistons are connected by a rod that is led through the linear bearing that is embedded in the partition forming a seal. The connecting rod is fastened to the bottom piston and by its other end it is connected to the crankshaft.

A system includes an engine and an exhaust conduit in communication with the engine. A water separation device has exhaust gas passageways in communication with the exhaust conduit. The water separation device has a substrate and a membrane on the substrate. The substrate has inner walls surrounding the exhaust gas passageways with at least one of the inner walls being common to at least two of the exhaust gas passageways. The membrane is between the exhaust gas passageways and the substrate and has capillary condensation pores extending from the exhaust gas passageways to the substrate.

A vehicle system includes a tank for storing an aqueous solution; and a UV light decontamination module configured for decontaminating aqueous solution stored in the tank. The UV light decontamination module is arranged in a wall of the tank. The UV light decontamination module includes a light source compartment which is accessible from an external area outside of the tank; and a light transmission member configured to transmit UV light from the light source compartment to a liquid space in fluid communication with aqueous solution stored in the tank. The light source compartment includes a light source to emit UV light through the light transmission member to the liquid space.
