Adjustable reel arm
A reel assembly of a header for an agricultural vehicle. The reel assembly includes a pair of reel arms each comprising a first member and a second member pivotally connected to the first member, a reel movably connected to and positioned in between the second members of the reel arms, and a pair of actuators. Each actuator is operably connected in between the first member and the second member of a respective reel arm, the actuators are configured for pivoting the second members relative to the first members such that the reel is pivotable relative to the first members of the reel arms.
Calibration system for an agricultural header
A calibration system for an agricultural header includes a controller having a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a first position signal indicative of a first position of a reel arm of the agricultural header, receive a first distance signal indicative of a first distance between the reel arm and a terrain feature, receive a second position signal indicative of a second position of the reel arm, receive a second distance signal indicative of a second distance between the reel arm and the terrain feature, determine a calibration curve having a plurality of offset distances of the reel arm based on the first position, the first distance, the second position, and the second distance, and select an offset distance of the plurality of offset distances based on an operational position of the reel arm and the calibration curve.

Agricultural header with laser measurement of reel distance
A header (110) for an agricultural harvester (100) includes: a frame (201); a cutter bar (111) carried by the frame; a otatable reel (112) movably coupled to the frame and having a plurality of tines (211); a target (310) associated with the reel such that movement of the reel causes a corresponding movement of the target; and a laser system (320) including a light emitter directed at the target. The laser system is configured to emit a laser beam at the target and output a distance signal (D) corresponding to a distance of at least one of the target or the reel from the light emitter.

Pickup reel with differential speed bat tubes
A pickup reel assembly that includes a hub and multiple bat assemblies where each bat assembly rotates through a functional area where it moves crop material into a harvester, and a non-functional area where it does not move crop material into the harvester. Each bat assembly rotates at a first speed through the functional area and at a second speed through the non-functional area, where the second speed is greater than the first speed. A nominal speed shaft can rotate at the first speed, and an increased speed shaft can rotate at the second speed. Cogs can couple the bat assembly to the increased speed shaft when it is in the non-functional area. The cogs can also couple the bat assembly to the nominal speed shaft when it is in the functional area.

Universal crop head assembly and its use in harvesting crops
A universal crop head assembly is carried at the front of and by a harvester. The new crop head assembly includes a frame assembly, an intermediate multi-crop reel assembly carried by the frame assembly and having selectively extendable and retractable fingers for small grain harvesting. A lower cutter bar assembly is carried by the frame assembly and for cutting grain stalks. An upper forward cutter bar assembly is carried by the frame assembly and supports an upper cutter bar for cutting corn stalks about an upper end, an adjustable air knife assembly for blowing against severed corn stalks upper ends; and a lower draper belt assembly carried by the frame assembly and for moving grain cut by the lower cutter bar assembly.

Cutting system for a combine harvester
A cutting system for a combine harvester with a support frame for a cutting table has, on the cutting side, a cutting bar fastened articulatedly to the support frame, flexible transversely to the cutting direction, and adjustable in height with respect to the support frame with axle levers distributed over the width of the cutting system engaging at one end on the cutting bar and at the other end on the support frame. Actuators and the axle levers with the cutting bar are actuated by a controller. The cutting bar has sensors distributed over the width of the cutting system. They record the ground clearance of the cutting bar in front of each axle lever. The sensors are skids on the bottom of the cutting bar measuring the ground contact pressure of the skid or the distance between the skid and the cutting bar.
