A pair of left and right side covers covering the cleaner case from opposite sides in the vehicle width direction are supported by side cover supporting portions that are provided on left and right opposite side walls of the cleaner case main portion and the connecting tube connection portion.
BACKPACK TYPE BLOWING APPARATUS
A backpack type blowing apparatus includes an intake pipe that connects an air cleaner fixed to a fan case of an air blower to a carburetor that supplies an evaporated fuel to an engine body, and a top cover fixed to the fan case to cover at least the intake pipe by interposing the intake pipe between the top cover and the fan case. The top cover has a plurality of cover fixing portions fixed to the fan case. An outer circumferential-side fixed portion positioned on an outer circumferential side of the intake pipe in the fan case is included in the plurality of cover fixing portions.
Air filter, filter element and filter housing of an air filter
An air filter (10) includes an openable filter housing (12) and a filter element (18). The filter housing (12) includes an inlet (26) and an outlet. A filter element (18) with a filter medium (46) is disposed replaceably in the filter housing separating the inlet (26) from the outlet (22). The filter element (18) features on an exterior side facing away from the element interior space (52) on an axial front face relative to the element axis (32) at least one supporting element (58) having at least one supporting lateral surface (60, 61) with at least one cylindrical portion and/or at least one portion with a variable cross-section in the direction of a main axis. The supporting element (58) is supported at least transversely in relation to the element axis (32) with the at least one supporting lateral surface (60, 61) against at least one corresponding support portion (42) on the side of the filter housing (12).
Air filter device, especially for a motor vehicle
An air filter device is provided with a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. A frame part is connected to the filter element and frames the filter element at least over sections thereof circumferentially. The frame part is provided with an air duct receptacle that is adapted to receive an air duct. The frame part is arranged at least partially on an exterior side of the filter housing. The filter element is fastened by the frame part on the filter housing.
MULTIPLE INLET FILTRATION SYSTEM
An apparatus and a method are provided for a multiple inlet air box to communicate an airstream through an air filter to an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. The multiple inlet air box is comprised of a housing that supports the air filter within an interior of the housing. A mount portion within the housing fixedly receives a base of the air filter. Multiple air inlets couple with corresponding air inlet ports of the vehicle to direct the airstream into the multiple inlet air box. A duct directs the airstream from the multiple air inlets to the interior of the housing. A conduit communicates the airstream from an interior of the air filter to the air intake duct of the internal combustion engine.
VEHICLE AIR INDUCTION ASSEMBLY
A vehicle air induction assembly includes an air guide, an air duct and a bracket member. The air duct is configured to supply air to an engine air filter. The air guide has an opening therein and is configured to be connected to a vehicle fascia. The air duct is configured to be connected to the air guide such that air flowing through the opening flows into the air duct. The bracket member is connected to the air guide. The bracket member has a first side wall, a second side wall and a lower wall connecting the first and second side walls. The bracket member and the air duct are disposed on opposite sides of the air guide opening. An air inlet is defined by the air guide and the bracket member.
Air cleaner
In an air cleaner, an air cleaner case having an upper opening which opens upward is formed. The air cleaner case is formed of a front wall, a rear fender, and right and left side covers. The upper opening is closed by a seat. A sound absorbing member is bonded to a bottom plate of the seat and housed in an air cleaner space. The intake noise in the air cleaner is absorbed by the sound absorbing member.
CURVED BASE AIR CLEANER
An apparatus and methods are provided for an air cleaner to be mounted onto an air inlet of an internal combustion engine. The air cleaner comprises an air filter that includes a filter medium disposed between a curved base and a cover. The curved base provides an interface between the air filter and the air inlet, and comprises a shape that provides clearance between the curved base and an electric choke installed onto a carburetor comprising the air inlet. The cover secures the air filter and the curved base to the air inlet such that an airstream is drawn through the filter medium and is conducted into the air inlet. A raised portion of the cover is configured to cooperate with the curved base to ensure a desired volume of the airstream is available to the air inlet at substantially all engine speeds.
AIR CLEANER HOUSING, AN AIR CLEANER HOUSING ARRANGEMENT, AND A METHOD
The invention relates to an air cleaner housing (200) for an air filter for an internal combustion engine in a vehicle, the air cleaner housing (200) being adapted for attachment to an outer cover (100) of said internal combustion engine (100), and comprising an inlet (201) for receiving unfiltered air and an outlet (202) for outputting filtered air. The air cleaner housing (200) comprises at least one slide member (210) configured to be slidably arranged to a corresponding guide member (110) of said outer cover (100), such that, when said slide member (210) is in connection with said guide member (110), said air cleaner housing (200) is supported by said guide member (110), and said air cleaner housing (200) is slidably movable at least along said guide member (110); and a fixation member (220) configured to secure the housing (200) to the outer cover (100) in a fixed position along said guide member (110). The invention also relates to an air cleaner housing arrangement, a method, and a vehicle.
Variable intake system for vehicle
A variable intake system for a vehicle is provided and includes an air cleaner that filters air via a filter and supplies the air to an engine. A main duct is connected to the air cleaner to supply the air, and a variable valve has a housing that is coupled and mounted to a mounting aperture of a mounting part disposed on a front end of the filter of the air cleaner. An internal passage of the housing is opened by suction pressure of the engine in the mounting part to suction external air. A projection formed on the housing of the variable valve is inserted into a projection seat formed in the mounting part, so that the variable valve is secured to the mounting part.
