Embodiments herein relate to filter restriction indicator (100) for a filtration system. In an embodiment, a filter restriction indicator (100) can have an electronics control cartridge (800) including an internal spacer frame (304), a first circuit board (346), a second circuit board (302) disposed over the first circuit board (346), and a pressure sensor (336) in electrical communication with the first circuit board (346). A filter fluid tube (318) defines a filter fluid channel (348) in fluid communication with the pressure sensor (336). The internal spacer frame (304) can secure the first circuit board (346) at a fixed distance from the second circuit board (302). A lower housing (108) defines an ambient pressure port (310). A cap (102) defines an interior volume (332) into which the electronics control cartridge fits (800). The cap (102) can define a shielding panel (112) configured to fit over an exterior portion of the ambient pressure port (336) when the cap (102) is engaged with the lower housing (108). The present invention provides methods and systems for an ion generator mounting device for application of bipolar ionization to airflow within a conduit, the device includes a housing for mounting to the conduit having an internal panel within the enclosure, and an arm extending from the housing for extension into the conduit and containing at least one opening. At least one coupling for mounting an ion generator to the arm oriented with an axis extending between a pair of electrodes of the ion generator being generally perpendicular to a flow direction of the airflow within the conduit.

A stand-alone air filter assembly has a unitary molded plastic preform shell, with the preform shell including an inlet section, an outlet section, and a hose connection section integral with a downstream end of the outlet section. A filter media pack including a fluted filter media member is fitted inside the inlet section of the preform shell through which unfiltered air enters the air filter assembly. The outlet section of the preform shell through which filtered air leaves the air filter assembly converges from a larger, first cross-sectional area of the inlet section to a smaller, second cross-sectional area at the downstream end of the outlet section, and the outlet section includes one or more sensor ports that are each configured to support a sensor for measuring a characteristic of the filtered air leaving the air filter assembly. The hose connection section includes an annular hose bead interface formed around an outer circumference thereof for sealing engagement with a hose fluidly coupling the air filter assembly to an air intake on an engine.

A filter system for filtering a fluid, in particular an air filter system, is provided with at least a filter element arranged in a filter housing that is provided with at least an inlet and an outlet for the fluid. An insulating body which is formed of a flat insulation material is arranged so as to surround and tightly enclose an outer contour of the filter housing. An insulating body and a method for manufacturing the insulating body are described.

The present invention provides methods and systems for an ion generator mounting device for application of bipolar ionization to airflow within a conduit, the device includes a housing for mounting to the conduit having an internal panel within the enclosure, and an arm extending from the housing for extension into the conduit and containing at least one opening. A system and method of treating air. Bipolar ionization is delivered to an airflow within a conduit from a tubeless ion generator. The ionized airflow may be delivered to a conditioned airspace by an HVAC system. In alternate applications, the airflow delivers ionized combustion air to an engine. The invention also includes a mounting assembly for positioning one or more ion generators into an airflow.

Air cleaner assemblies, components, features and methods of assembly and use are described. Example air cleaner assemblies are depicted and described in which a main filter cartridge sealing surface is recessed from an open end of a housing body. An access cover of the housing is configured with a portion extending inwardly to engage a main filter cartridge portion and bias it against the main filter cartridge sealing surface. In selected assemblies, the portion of the access cover extending inwardly toward the main filter cartridge, is a precleaner having flow separator tubes therein.

An automobile air intake system that has a detachable transparent window assembly for visually inspecting the air filter is contemplated. A user may inspect the air filter by viewing the air filter through the transparent window assembly. Alternatively, the user may remove the window assembly from the air intake system to provide an unobstructed view of the filter. The window assembly may be releasably secured to an airbox with magnets and magnetic materials. The airbox and window assembly may be contoured about the air filter, to provide a larger section of the filter to be viewed and inspected.

An air induction system for a vehicle internal combustion engine has an air filter box that couples with the internal combustion engine. A tuner, in the air filter box, removes offending lower frequency noise generated by the internal combustion engine. An air filter is positioned in the air filter box to filtering air entering the internal combustion engine.
