AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM WITH WATER DETECTION
A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and an air induction system configured to provide intake air to the internal combustion engine. The air induction system includes an intake port, an air box coupled to the intake port and having a wet side air box and a dry side air box, at least one sensor disposed within the air box and configured to detect a presence or level of liquid within the air box, and a watertight door disposed within the air box and configured to move between an open position that allows air to pass through the air box dry side, and a closed position that facilitates preventing liquid from passing into the air box dry side.
VARIABLE INTAKE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A variable intake system for a vehicle is provided and includes an air cleaner that filters air via a filter and supplies the air to an engine. A main duct is connected to the air cleaner to supply the air, and a variable valve has a housing that is coupled and mounted to a mounting aperture of a mounting part disposed on a front end of the filter of the air cleaner. An internal passage of the housing is opened by suction pressure of the engine in the mounting part to suction external air. A projection formed on the housing of the variable valve is inserted into a projection seat formed in the mounting part, so that the variable valve is secured to the mounting part.
SYSTEMS FOR AN AIR INTAKE APPARATUS
Methods and systems are provided for an air intake apparatus. In one example, a system comprises an air filter box rotatably mounted to an intake manifold. The air filter box rotates about an axis angled to a direction of forward vehicle travel.
Filter group of air directed to an air aspiration intake of an internal combustion engine
An air filter group for air supply to internal combustion engines of motor vehicles, of a type comprising an external casing provided with an inlet opening of the air to be filtered, and an outlet opening of the filtered air, and a removable cover, the inlet and outlet openings being separated by a removable filter cartridge which comprises a hollow cylindrical filter wall crossed by the air in a centripetal direction, in which the at least a filter cartridge is fixed to the cover in which cover a chamber is present, delimited by a base provided with at least a hole at which the at least a cartridge is fixed, by an opposite wall to the base and by an annular wall located between the base and the opposite wall and comprising the outlet hole of the filtered air, the cover being destined to be inserted sealedly in the casing.
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine includes a cylinder block including a cylinder, a cylinder head including an intake port, the intake port communicating with the cylinder, an intake manifold fixed to the cylinder head, the intake manifold being configured to supply intake air into the cylinder, and a dynamic vibration absorber configured to suppress vibration of the intake manifold. A direction that is orthogonal to both a central axis of the cylinder and a rotational axis of a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is defined as a width direction. The dynamic vibration absorber is attached to the intake manifold on an opposite side of a center of gravity of the intake manifold from the cylinder head in the width direction.
Air filter device for a motor vehicle
An air filter device for a motor vehicle is provided with a filter housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a filter insert which is received in the filter housing and divides the inside of the filter housing into an untreated air section and a pure air section, and a bypass line for supplying air into the untreated air section. The bypass line extends from a connection opening in the filter housing to a cooler, especially a charge air cooler of the motor vehicle.
Filter trap for a motor vehicle thermal device
A filter trap for a motor vehicle thermal device is made of polymer material and includes two longitudinal edges extending along a length thereof connected by two lateral edges extending along a width thereof. The trap includes a first assembly tab extending along the length thereof and fixed to one of the lateral edges. The trap also includes a snap coupling to block the trap. The snap-coupling is fixed to one of the longitudinal edges and is located in the vicinity of another of the lateral edges. The trap also includes a second assembly tab extending perpendicular to the first assembly tab. The second assembly tab is fixed to another of the longitudinal edges and is located in a vicinity of another of the lateral edges. The trap has sufficient flexibility along the length thereof to permit twisting of the trap about a longitudinal torsion axis of the trap.
