A filter element, which has an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction thereof and includes a circumferential sealing device for, in particular, radially sealing the filter element off from a filter holder for the filter element, wherein the sealing device has two first curvature sections arranged one facing the other and two second curvature sections arranged one facing the other, wherein the first curvature sections each have a first radius of curvature and the second curvature sections each have a second radius of curvature, and wherein the first radius of curvature differs from the second radius of curvature.

A filter seal member mold includes a first mold end and a second mold end disposed axially away from the first mold end. A first mold surface is disposed between the first mold end and the second mold end and includes at least one lobe mold and at least one guide channel mold. The at least one lobe mold is configured to form at least one lobe on an end of a filter element. The at least one guide channel mold is configured to form at least one guide channel on the end of the filter element. A second mold surface is disposed between the first and second mold end and disposed radially away from the first mold surface. A mold channel is formed between a first mold surface and a second mold surface. The mold channel includes a closed portion and an open portion adjacent the second mold end.
AIR BOX WITH INTEGRATED FILTER MEDIA
An apparatus and a method are provided for an air box with an integrated air filter to communicate air flow from an exterior of the air filter to an air intake of an automobile engine. The air filter comprises a filter material that surrounds at least a portion of an interior cavity of the air filter. An end cap is affixed to a distal end of the filter material, and a wire support extends along at least a portion of the exterior surface of the filter material. The air box comprises a housing portion and a mount portion. The housing portion is configured to direct air drawn through the filter material into the interior cavity of the air filter and then into the air intake of the automobile engine. The mount portion is configured to support the air box and the air filter once installed within an automobile engine bay.
VAPOR CAPTURE ELEMENT FOR AN AIR INTAKE SYSTEM OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An air intake system for an internal combustion engine is described, and includes a vapor capture element disposed in an interior portion of an air intake system. The vapor capture element includes a flexible Metal Organic Framework (MOF) material, wherein the flexible MOF material is reversibly controllable to a first state and to a second state in response to a control stimulus. The flexible MOF material is configured to adsorb hydrocarbon vapor when controlled to the first state and configured to desorb the hydrocarbon vapor when controlled to the second state.
FILTER MEDIUM FOR ENGINE AIR FILTERS
A filter medium for engine air filters contains a support layer and a meltblown layer containing polyester fibres. The filter medium is electrically charged.
Secondary Filter Element and Filter Arrangement
A secondary filter element for a filter arrangement is provided with a filter medium and a circumferentially extending sealing device that seals the secondary filter element in respect to a filter receptacle of the filter arrangement. The circumferentially extending sealing device has an oval geometry with a long side and a short side. The circumferentially extending sealing device has an outer surface projecting, in a radial direction of the secondary filter element, farther past the filter medium when viewed along the short side compared to when viewed along the long side. A filter arrangement has a filter receptacle. A main filter element is received in the filter receptacle, and a secondary filter element is received in the main filter element. The circumferentially extending sealing device of the secondary filter element projects in a radial direction of the secondary filter element outwardly past an interior of the main filter element.

Filter Muffler for an Exhaust Gas Turbocharger of an Internal Combustion Engine
The invention relates to a filter muffler (10) comprising a front element (11), a rear element (12), and a plurality of damping elements (20) which are arranged between the front element (11) and the rear element (12). The damping elements (20) are arranged radially about a central axis (16) of the filter muffler such that a flow channel (30) is formed between each pair of adjacent damping elements. The respective downstream ends (22) of the damping elements (20) each have a diffuser element (23) which has a downstream tapering. An angle between two opposing sides of the diffuser element (23) is selected from a range of 18.
HIGH PERFORMANCE DENSITY ELEMENT WITH ANGLE BETWEEN INLET FLOW AND OUTLET FLOW
Filter media including one or multiple sheets of filter media, an upstream inlet, and a downstream outlet. A pleat pack can be formed by alternately folding a flat sheet along pleat fold lines with a high media surface density. The flat sheet of filter media may include a separation geometry feature or separation mechanism that maintains a separation distance between adjacent pleats of the filter media. A separation geometry can comprise one or more embossments forming a raised surface, an inlet spacer mesh and/or an outlet spacer mesh positioned between adjacent pleats, and/or an adhesive bead. The upstream inlet receives dirty fluid along a first direction and the downstream outlet discharges clean fluid along a second direction substantially not parallel to the first direction. The filter element defines an angle between the inlet and outlet flow, allowing large dust particles to move out of the media pack due to inertia.
AIR CLEANER
An air cleaner includes a case having an internal space, a filter element capable of partitioning the internal space into first and second spaces, an intake port that introduces an air into the first space therethrough, an exhaust port that discharges an air from the second space, and at least one baffle part projecting toward the filter element from an inner surface of the case. The baffle part diffuses the air introduced into the first space and introduces the air to the filter element. The baffle part includes a first baffle part extending along an extending surface of the filter element. The first baffle part is curved so as to be away from a hypothetical straight line connecting the intake port and the exhaust port as the first baffle part extends from the intake port toward the exhaust port as viewed in a direction perpendicular to the extending surface.
