In a saddle-ride type vehicle in which an air cleaner is arranged inward in a vehicle width direction of at least a pair of left and right main frames and arranged below a riding seat, a cleaner case for the air cleaner is configured long in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and has a cleaner case main portion storing therein a cleaner element, and a connecting tube connection portion extending forward from the cleaner case main portion so as to be connected to a connecting tube. A pair of left and right side covers covering the cleaner case from opposite sides in the vehicle width direction are supported by side cover supporting portions that are provided on left and right opposite side walls of the cleaner case main portion and the connecting tube connection portion.

A vehicle includes an air cleaner box assembly disposed within an engine compartment. The air cleaner box assembly includes a moveable shell portion and a stationary shell portion. The moveable shell portion includes an upper surface disposed adjacent a hood, and defines a filtered air chamber. The stationary shell portion is attached to a structure, and defines an unfiltered air chamber. A filter element is attached to and supported by the moveable shell portion. The filter element separates the filtered air chamber and the un-filtered air chamber. Each of a plurality of spring loaded guide members slideably connect the moveable shell portion and the stationary shell portion, and guide the moveable shell portion along a path relative to the stationary shell portion, between an expanded position and a compressed position.

The aircharger air intake system includes an air filter comprising a filter medium configured to entrap particulates flowing within the airstream. An air box comprising one or more sidewalls and a mount wall is configured to support the air filter within an engine bay. The air box is configured to be mounted, or fastened, onto the engine. An intake tube is coupled with the air filter and configured to conduct the airstream to the air intake of the engine. The intake tube is configured to be coupled with an air temperature sensor or a mass air sensor of the engine. An adapter is configured to couple the intake tube with the air intake.

An apparatus and a method are provided for a multiple inlet air box to communicate an airstream through an air filter to an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. The multiple inlet air box is comprised of a housing that supports the air filter within an interior of the housing. A mount portion within the housing fixedly receives a base of the air filter. Multiple air inlets couple with corresponding air inlet ports of the vehicle to direct the airstream into the multiple inlet air box. A duct directs the airstream from the multiple air inlets to the interior of the housing. A conduit communicates the airstream from an interior of the air filter to the air intake duct of the internal combustion engine.

The said cover (28) includes at least a first tubular boss (55) projecting towards the intake cover (7); and the intake cover (7) includes at least a second tubular boss (57) complementary to the first tubular boss (55) and projecting towards the cover (28); the first tubular boss (55) is slotted in the second tubular boss (57).

The invention also refers to a tubular filtering element (24) and to a maintenance process of a filtering device.

An air-cleaner structure of a saddle-ride vehicle is provided with an air-cleaner case arranged between a seat and a head pipe located in front of the seat. The air-cleaner case is provided with a bottom half and a top half. The bottom half is arranged in a space surrounded by a rear face of the head pipe and a pair of left and right main frames extending from the head pipe toward the rear of the vehicle. The top half is situated above the main frames. The top half is provided in a vertical two division structure. A dividing surface of the vertical two division structure of the top half is inclined in the vehicle-longitudinal direction. An air-cleaner element is mounted along the inclined dividing surface.
