A vehicle includes a chassis, a front axle assembly coupled to the chassis, a rear axle assembly coupled to the chassis, a powertrain coupled to the chassis, the powertrain including an engine, an engine air intake coupled to the engine to provide clean air to the engine, an exhaust system coupled to the engine to expel a flow of exhaust gases from the engine, and a suction conduit extending between the exhaust system and the engine air intake.
Valve for regeneration in turbocharger operation
An arrangement that is as simple as possible and that has very few lines, has a valve with a base element having a regeneration nozzle in which a regeneration channel is formed, having an outflow nozzle in which an outflow channel is formed, and having a drive flow nozzle in which a Venturi tube is accommodated, whereby the regeneration channel, the outflow channel and the Venturi tube are flow-connected is characterized in that a closeable bypass channel is provided which opens up into the drive flow nozzle and which is configured there in such a way that a fluid that is flowing in through the regeneration channel can be discharged through the Venturi tube as well as through the bypass channel.
INTAKE BYPASS FLOW MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Filtration systems having a normal filtration mode and an enhanced filtration mode are described. In some arrangements, the filtration system is an air filtration system having a primary air filter element, a pre-cleaner, and a pre-cleaner bypass valve. Based on feedback from an intake air quality sensor the bypass valve is either opened or closed to selectively route intake air through the pre-cleaner during sensed dirty air operating conditions (e.g., heavy dust or moisture concentrations). In other arrangements, the filtration system is a liquid filtration system (e.g., a fuel or oil a secondary filter. The filtration system selectively routes the liquid being filtered through the main filter, the secondary filter, or a combination thereof depending on a detected event or sensed characteristic of the liquid.
Inlet air filter device for a power plant
An inlet air filter device including: at least one passage for delivering an air mass from an inlet section to an outlet section of the inlet air filter device, a water separator in the at least one passage for separating water in the air mass, the water separator positioned between the inlet section and the outlet section, a bypass element movable between a first open position in which the air mass is forced to cross the water separator and a second closed position in which the air mass flows from the inlet to the outlet section without crossing the water separator; a shutter element which is actuatable to co-operate with the bypass element for isolating the water separator from the air mass when the bypass element is in the second closed position.
AIRBOX WITH DEBRIS REMOVAL SYSTEM
An airbox includes an intake air inlet in a housing, wherein the intake air inlet includes a first portion and a second portion, at least one air outlet in the housing, and an air chamber within the housing and fluidly connected to the intake air inlet and the at least one air outlet. The air chamber includes an internal wall that divides the air chamber along an axis thereof into a first air chamber portion fluidly connected to the first portion of the air inlet and a second air chamber portion fluidly connected to the second portion of the air inlet, and a moveable air inlet damper configured to seal the first portion of the air inlet and occlude the first air chamber portion, or to seal the second portion of the air inlet and occlude the second air chamber portion.
Multistage Stage Separation Vortex Flow Air Filter
A multiple stage separation vortex flow air filter includes an air filter housing (AFH) having a central axis; a cylindrical helical plate located within the AFH proximate an upper shell bottom of the AFH; an air inlet eccentrically connected to the AFH to cause air flowing through the air inlet to create a vortex around the cylindrical helical plate; an perforated conical element in which the air flows through, the perforated conical element within the cylindrical helical plate around the central axis; an oblong conical casing that forms a conical passage and located along the central axis and partially within the perforated conical element, wherein air enters the conical passage through a whirling ring; and an air filter element within the oblong conical casing, wherein air flows through the air filter element and enters into an engine through an outlet pipe.
