An air cleaner device that is positioned forward of a radiator, has a bottom surface inclined backward and upward to face the radiator side, and purifies air sent to an engine, and a discharge pipe that is disposed to extend from the bottom surface of the air cleaner device to the lower portion of the radiator and discharges dust separated by the air cleaner device are included.

INTEGRATED MANIFOLD FOR PRE-CLEANER DUST REMOVAL

A pre-cleaner may include a plurality of spin tubes arranged side-by-side to form a row. Each spin tube may include a longitudinal axis, an inlet at a first end, and an outlet at a second end. The pre-cleaner may also include a manifold enveloping the outlets of the plurality of spin tubes and configured to receive and direct dust away from the outlets. The manifold may include a cover portion extending along and adjacent the row of spin tubes at a position along the longitudinal axis that is between the respective outlets and first ends of the spin tubes. The manifold may also include a trough extending along the row of spin tubes and defining a collection area that is arranged at a position along the longitudinal axis that is beyond the second ends of the spin tubes. A method of dust removal is also described.

Utility vehicle

A utility vehicle including a body, a frame, an on-board device supplied with outside air, a chamber body having an intake space and divided into a first member disposed on a first side and opened to a second side and a second member detachably attached to the first member from the second side and opened to the first side, one of the first and second members having an engaging claw, and another one having an engaging portion, and a connecting pipe connecting the chamber body and the on-board device. The first member includes a first frame-shaped outer wall, a first tip surface, and a tip protrusion protruding from the first tip surface to the second side, and the second member includes a second frame-shaped outer wall, a second tip surface, and a tip recess recessed from the second tip surface toward the second side and fittable to the tip protrusion.

AIR CLEANER

An air cleaner has a first housing having an inlet and an upper opening, a second housing having an outlet and a lower opening, a filter element arranged between the upper opening of the first housing and the lower opening of the second housing. The first housing includes a looped wall, which protrudes from the inner surface thereof, and a vibrating body, which is made of a non-air permeable material and fixed to the upper end of the looped wall. Inside the first housing, an air chamber is defined by the inner surface of the bottom wall, the inner peripheral surface of the looped wall, and the lower surface of the vibrating body.

An air cleaner includes an air cleaner case, a first filter element, a lid, at least one first engagement portion, and at least one second engagement portion. The air cleaner case includes an opening. The first filter element is preferably tubular and detachably disposed inside the air cleaner case. The lid is disposed on an extension line of an axis of the first filter element to cover the opening. The lid includes a rotatable handle. The first engagement portion rotates with rotation of the handle. The second engagement portion engages with the first engagement portion. When the first engagement portion is rotated along a first direction and engaged with the second engagement portion, the lid is fixed to the air cleaner case. When the first engagement portion is rotated along a second direction and disengaged from the second engagement portion, the lid is detached from the air cleaner case.

PRE-FILTER SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A pre-filter assembly for a vehicle arranged with an aspiration duct extending between the pre-filter and a fan of the vehicle. A variable valve element is provided as part of the aspiration duct adjacent the fan, such that the aspiration rate through the duct can be controlled by appropriate variation of the valve element, to control the rate of airflow drawn through the aspiration duct by the fan. This allows for the aspiration rate of the pre-filter to be at least partly independent of the flow rate of the fan, without the need for an additional motor-driven blower unit.

Air intake system for an off-road vehicle

An air intake system includes a pre-cleaner having a plurality of tubes configured to receive a flow of air, to filter particulate material from the flow of air, and to provide the flow of air to an engine of an off-road vehicle. The system also includes a controller configured to receive a first signal indicative of an air intake flow rate of the engine, to determine a target number of open tubes for the pre-cleaner based at least in part on the air intake flow rate and a desired air flow rate for each tube of the plurality of tubes, and to output a second signal to a component of the air intake system indicative of instructions to enable the flow of air to the target number of open tubes and to block the flow of air to the remainder of tubes of the plurality of tubes.
