Air intake duct and method for producing same
An air intake duct 8 is fixed to a rear of a cab 3 of a transport vehicle to extend vertically, air intakes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, 6e and 6f being opened on an upper portion of the air intake duct for suction of fresh air through the intakes as engine intake air. The air intake duct 8 is constituted by a blow-molded duct body 9 and an internal partition component 10 enclosed in the duct body in blow molding of the duct body 9 to partition an interior of the duct body 9 into a plurality of channels A, B, C, D, E and F reaching the air intakes.
Air induction systems for internal combustion engines
Air induction systems are for an internal combustion engine. The air induction systems comprise an air intake plenum that conducts intake airflow to an air cleaner for cleaning prior to combustion in the internal combustion engine. The air intake plenum is movable with respect to the air cleaner between an open position separated from the air cleaner and a closed position connected to the air cleaner. A bellows connects the air intake plenum to the air cleaner when the air intake plenum is in the closed position. The bellows has an upstream first end that seals with the air intake plenum and a downstream second end that seals with the air cleaner.
Engine air intake device
A cover covering an engine and an intake duct for introducing fresh air outside an engine room into a combustion chamber of the engine are provided in the engine room. The cover includes a top face cover portion covering the engine from above, and a side face cover portion covering the engine from the lateral side. The intake duct is disposed so as to be continuous to a side edge of the side face cover portion such that the intake duct covers the engine from the lateral side together with the side face cover portion.
Estimating Ambient Air Temperature and Diagnosing Sensor Failure Using Intercooler Efficiency
Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for determining an estimated ambient air temperature in an environment in which a vehicle is operating. The estimated ambient air temperature may be compared to an ambient temperature sensor value. The comparison may be used to determine whether an ambient air temperature sensor of the vehicle is functioning properly or if an error notification or fault code should be triggered.
Detecting a State of an Air Diverter Valve of an Air Induction System for a Vehicle
Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for determining a state of an air diverter valve of an air induction system of a vehicle. The determined state of the air diverter valve may be based on an intercooler-based estimated ambient air temperature and a comparison between an ambient air temperature sensor value and a pre-compressor sensor value.
Snow bike intake
A snow bike intake, snow bike conversion kit, and/or air intake pod snow bike conversion kit, having: a throttle body coupling; an elbow-shaped intake duct coupled to the throttle body, a pre-filter body cage coupled at a rear thereof to the duct, and a textile cover fitting about the cage. The duct has an interior angle between 40 and 60 degrees. There are a plurality of flat (interior and exterior surface) sensor mounts disposed about and through the duct, including an octagonal ring of sensor mounts circumscribing the duct body. The cage has a flat front opposite the rear that has a larger diameter than a diameter of the rear. The duct has an aspect ratio of exterior angle length to diameter no greater than 3.5:1 and the duct and prefilter combined has an aspect ratio of exterior angle length to diameter no greater than 4.5:1.
Multi-stage fresh air inlet system
A fresh air inlet system includes an inlet panel defining first windows and second windows, offset from the first windows. An inlet baffle is below the inlet panel and an outlet baffle is opposite the inlet panel from the inlet baffle. The outlet baffle at least partially defines an outlet plenum providing air-flow communication to an induction duct. A longitudinal flow section is defined between the inlet baffle and the inlet panel. A first vertical flow section is defined by the first windows and a second vertical flow section is defined by the second windows. The first vertical flow section is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal flow section and the second vertical flow section is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal flow section. Therefore, intake air flows successively from the longitudinal flow section to the first vertical flow section, to the second vertical flow section, and to the induction duct.
Air filter device, especially for a motor vehicle
An air filter device is provided with a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. A frame part is connected to the filter element and frames the filter element at least over sections thereof circumferentially. The frame part is provided with an air duct receptacle that is adapted to receive an air duct. The frame part is arranged at least partially on an exterior side of the filter housing. The filter element is fastened by the frame part on the filter housing.
PRO STOCK FUEL INJECTION AIR INTAKE ASSEMBLY
An apparatus and a method are provided for an air intake assembly configured for use with Pro Stock vehicles comprising fuel injection equipped engines. The air intake assembly comprises an air inlet that includes a distal opening disposed in a forward direction at a front of the vehicle and configured to direct incident air into the air intake assembly. An air duct is joined with the air inlet by way of a first coupler configured to maintain an airtight seal between the air inlet and the air duct. A throttle body adapter is joined with the air duct by way of a second coupler configured to maintain an airtight seal therebetween. The throttle body adapter is configured to establish an airtight coupling between the air intake assembly and a throttle body of the engine, such that the incident air is directed into the throttle body.
