Intake manifold
An intake manifold that allows air to flow through the intake manifold, engine, and exhaust from the engine, until the engine is cooled to a desired temperature.
Intake manifold
An intake manifold for an engine is arranged between a cylinder head port mounted on a cylinder head and a surge tank. The intake manifold includes: a first runner including a first end provided with a first inlet portion connected to the surge tank, and a second end that is branched at a position spaced apart from the first inlet portion by a predetermined distance and is respectively connected to first and fourth runners formed in the cylinder head port; and a second runner including a second end provided with a second inlet portion connected to the surge tank at a position adjacent to the first inlet portion, and a second end that is branched at a position spaced apart from the second inlet portion by a predetermined distance and is respectively connected to second and third runners formed in the cylinder head port.
Systems for intake manifold secondary gas distribution
An intake system of an engine is provided. The intake system may include an intake manifold coupled to a first throttle body and a second throttle body, where the intake manifold is formed from an upper shell and a lower shell. The intake system further includes a vacuum port located in the intake manifold and in an air-flow path downstream of the first throttle body and the second throttle body and upstream of a plurality of intake runners of the intake manifold, the vacuum port including a spigot extending through the upper shell of the intake manifold, and a vacuum passage coupling the vacuum port to a vehicle subsystem.
INTAKE MANIFOLD

Method and system for manufacturing a family of intake manifolds for a family of internal combustion engines
A system for manufacturing a family of intake manifolds includes first and second intake molds. One of the first and second intake molds includes an outlet insert. A first intake manifold includes: a plenum chamber, a plenum chamber air inlet; a first number of intake runner passages; and the first number of outlets. Each of the outlets is fluidly connected to a corresponding one of the first number of intake runner passages. The second intake manifold includes: the plenum chamber; the plenum chamber air inlet; the first number of intake runner passages; and a second number of outlets. Each of the second number of outlets is fluidly connected to a corresponding one of the first number of intake runner passages. At least one of the first number of intake runner passages is not fluidly connected to any one of the second number of outlets of the second intake manifold.
Intake device for internal combustion engine
An intake device for an internal combustion engine configures a flow passage for intake air that is drawn into combustion chambers. The intake device includes an intake manifold configuring multiple runners that respectively distribute intake air to multiple cylinders, a surge tank including a cavity that is connected to the runners and defines a convergence portion, a throttle body incorporating a throttle valve, and a connection pipe connecting the surge tank and the throttle body and configuring a curved flow passage extending between the throttle body and the surge tank. The connection pipe includes a partition plate that divides the curved flow passage into a circumferentially inner flow passage and a circumferentially outer flow passage.
Elastic connecting support
An elastic connecting support for arrangement between a combustion engine and an air filter of a handheld work apparatus is disclosed. The connecting support has a first channel for largely fuel-free air and a second channel for a fuel/air mixture. The connecting support is realized as a single piece, and has, on a first side, an engine connecting flange, at which the first and second channel end, for connection to the combustion engine. The first channel has a first peripheral wall and the second channel has a second peripheral wall. The first peripheral wall and the second peripheral wall are arranged at a distance in relation to each other in a longitudinal section of the connecting support. The channels extend from the first side to a second side of the connecting support. On the second side, the first channel and the second channel end at a common connecting flange.
INTAKE MANIFOLD AND RUNNER STRUCTURE THEREOF
An intake manifold is provided and includes a runner that is connected between a plenum and a cylinder head to allow air introduced into the plenum to enter the cylinder head. A dent is formed at the runner such that the dent extends along a channel of the runner while having an inner surface with a protruding shape. The runner has, at an end thereof, an inner surface formed to be flat without being formed with the dent. The inner surface of the runner is connected to the cylinder head.
Vehicle gas distribution to intake manifold runners
An intake system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle includes: an intake manifold configured to be fluidly coupled to a throttle valve and including intake runners for cylinders, respectively, of the internal combustion engine; and a plenum that includes a flange configured to receive gas from a valve of the vehicle, that is fixed to the intake manifold, and that includes apertures configured to flow gas from the plenum into the intake manifold one of: between ones of the intake runners; and directly into the intake runners.
Intake system for vehicle
An intake system of a vehicle includes: an intake manifold having a plurality of runners for supplying intake gas to a multiple-cylinder engine; a surge tank cover coupled to the intake manifold to define a surge tank communicating with the plurality of runners via the intake manifold; an intake air inlet formed on the intake manifold as a passage through which intake air flows into the surge tank; an intake outlet formed on the intake manifold as a passage through which intake air sequentially passing through the intake air inlet, the surge tank, and the plurality of runners, and is discharged to the engine as the intake gas; a gas inlet which is a passage formed on the intake manifold and selectively receiving recirculation exhaust gas; and a gas chamber formed on the intake manifold so that the recirculation exhaust gas flows in through the gas inlet.
