DEVICE FOR ATTACHING A CONTROL UNIT TO AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The present disclosure relates to a device for attaching a control unit, preferentially an electronic engine control unit, to a component of an internal combustion engine. The device includes a first connecting component which is designed in order to be attached to the component of the internal combustion engine the first connecting component comprising a first fluid duct. The device further includes a second connecting component, which, via at least one damping element, is attached, spaced from the first fluid duct, to the first connecting component and is designed for mounting the control unit.
INTAKE APPARATUS AND DUMP TRUCK
An intake apparatus includes: an air cleaner unit purifying air sucked from a suction port and discharge the air from a discharge port; a junction pipe section having a plurality of inlet ports while having a single outlet port, each of the inlet ports being connected to the discharge port of the air cleaner unit; a tapered pipe section connected to the outlet port of the junction pipe section and having an inner diameter gradually decreased toward a downstream; a straight pipe section connected to a downstream side of the tapered pipe section and having a constant inner diameter; and an air meter provided in the straight pipe section.
Intake manifold
A bolt-on replacement intake manifold has an asymmetrical plenum with a first end including an inlet, a closed terminal end, a concave top surface and a convex bottom surface; a flange; and a plurality of runners extending from the bottom surface of the plenum and terminating at the flange. The plenum defines an interior space in flow communication with the runners. The bottom surface of the plenum is wider than the top surface. The plenum initially widens from the inlet to the first runner and then begins to narrow from the first runner toward the last runner adjacent to the closed terminal end. The runners are tapered, curved, and vary in length. The intake manifold causes air to exit each of the plurality of runners at substantially the same angle. The manifold balances airflow across each runner and increases swirl inside the cylinders enhancing fuel economy, power output, and torque.
Throttle body neck for an intake manifold
A volumetric expander for increasing the air intake between a throttle body and an intake manifold includes a throttle body neck, a manifold adapter, and a throttle body adapter. The manifold adapter and the throttle body adapter are positioned opposite each other along a intake tube of the throttle body neck, wherein a first air channel traversing along the intake tube is aligned with a first intake opening of both the manifold adapter and the throttle body adapter. Additionally, a second air channel is aligned with a second intake opening of both the manifold adapter and the throttle body adapter. A manifold gasket is positioned into the manifold adapter and creates an air tight seal between the manifold adapter and the intake manifold, while a throttle body gasket is positioned into the throttle body adapter and creates an air tight seal between the throttle body adapter and the throttle body.
METHOD OF SUPPORTING CHARGE AIR TUBES AND MANAGING THERMAL EXPANSION USING A WEAR SLEEVE
An engine assembly and methods of supporting components of an engine assembly. An internal combustion engine includes an intake port. A charge air cooler is coupled to the intake port. A turbocharger including a charge air output port is fluidly coupled to the charge air cooler. A charge air tube is coupled to the charge air output port of the turbocharger. The charge air tube fluidly couples the turbocharger to the charge air cooler for transfer of compressed charge air from the turbocharger to the intake port of the internal combustion engine. A charge air tube support assembly is coupled to the charge air tube. The charge air tube support assembly is configured to allow axial displacement of the charge air tube along an axis of the charge air tube extending from the output port of the turbocharger to the charge air cooler in response to thermal expansion of the charge air tube. The charge air tube support assembly comprises a wear sleeve and a clamp.
Engine Intake Manifold
An engine intake manifold for a V-type internal combustion engine comprising a plenum, distribution runners and an intake tract mounted between the V-type engine cylinder heads. The intake tract has a front-facing opening for channeling air from the front of the engine into the underside of the plenum, and is configured to fit within the space defined by the underside of the plenum, the distribution runners, and top of the V-type engine block.
