Form-in-place anti-crush ring
An anti-crush ring is disclosed for insertion into hollow articles for localized reinforcement. The anti-crush ring comprises a generally annular or ring-like wall structure and at least one expansion hoop inwardly extending from the wall structure. Upon insertion of the anti-crush ring into the hollow article, the at least one expansion hoop is compressed and deformed to urge the wall structure of the anti-crush ring against an inner surface of the hollow article. Also provided is a method of reinforcing the inlet or outlet of a hollow article.
PARTITION PLATE
A partition plate is configured to separate an intake passage formed by an intake pipe to be coupled to a combustion chamber into a first intake passage and a second intake passage. The first intake passage is openable and closable by a valve. A shape of a first cross section orthogonal to an extending direction of the intake pipe is set on the basis of a shape of a surface of the intake pipe that faces the partition plate with the second intake passage interposed therebetween.
INTAKE PASSAGE STRUCTURE
A plurality of parts that constitute an intake passage connected with an intake port of an engine include a constriction part that has a protrusion formed to protrude on an inner circumferential surface side of the intake passage. The constriction part includes cylindrical connections disposed on both sides of a constriction path in which the protrusion is formed. The constriction path has an outer circumferential surface recessed inwardly in a radial direction so as to follow a shape of the protrusion. A portion recessed most of the recessed outer circumferential surface is disposed inside inner circumferential surfaces of the connections in the radial direction. The constriction path has a uniform wall thickness. The constriction part is connected upstream of the throttle body.
Intake duct
An intake duct includes a duct body. The duct body includes an upstream opening and a downstream opening. The duct body includes a twisted and bent portion. The twisted and bent portion includes a first side section and a second side section. The upstream opening and the downstream opening respectively include first sections, which are on a first side in the height direction. The upstream opening and the downstream opening respectively include second sections, which are on a second side in the height direction. The twisted and bent portion is twisted and bent such that the first side section connects the first section of the upstream opening and the second section of the downstream opening to each other, and the second side section connects the second section of the upstream opening and the first section of the downstream opening to each other.
Vessel
A vessel includes a vessel body, an engine contained in the vessel body, an air intake box including an air intake port and that is attached to the engine, an air intake duct drawn around in the vessel body, and a guide duct including an opening that opposes the air intake port. The air intake box supplies air taken in from the air intake port to the engine. The air intake duct includes an outer end connected to a deck of the vessel body. The guide duct guides air taken in from outside the vessel body by the air intake duct to the opening.
Adaptive air intake sealing joint
An adaptive air intake joint for an internal combustion engine comprising a molded elastomeric duct body having standing ribs constructed and arranged to provide a continuous and sufficient contact force across the face of a joint of an adjoining duct body. A clamp secured to the duct causes the ribs to provide a continuous and sufficient contact force across a seal surface, eliminating the need for constant tension clamp and improving the air intake joint seal to prevent leakage that is especially common in cold environments.
Device used with the air induction tube of an internal combustion engine after the air filter and before the throttle body
Provided is a device used in the air induction tube of an internal combustion engine after the air filter and before the throttle body, and in particular to a device used to separate an air flow into a plurality of segments. The device can be made of two pieces. Each piece is initially a flat plate. A slit is formed half way through each plate and the corners are cut off or clipped. Each plate is then formed to have two generally curved portions. The pieces are joined via the slits resulting in the device. The pieces are generally perpendicular to each other at their intersection. The device is fitted into the air induction tube upstream of the throttle body, whereby it separates the air flow into distinct segments. The curved walls can be slightly compressed when inserted into an induction tube to hold the assembly in place.
CONSTRUCTION MACHINE
A construction machine includes: a partition member partitioning an accommodation space in an engine compartment into a main chamber and an intake chamber while having an inter-chamber opening; a fan disposed in the main chamber to generate cooling air flowing through an air intake opening, the intake chamber, the inter-chamber opening, and the main chamber in this order by sucking air in the engine compartment in a suction direction; a duct joined to an outer wall to enclose the air intake opening and including an inner peripheral surface enclosing a duct passage leading to the air intake opening and an outer peripheral surface. The duct extends in a duct extension direction different from the suction direction of the fan, disposed in the intake chamber to define a duct surrounding space around the outer peripheral surface of the duct.
ENGINE DEVICE
To provide an engine device with high reliability and high safety in which a pipe conduit in a portion where a blow-by gas having leaked from a combustion chamber is merged with intake air (outdoor air) is not blocked with ice coating even in use in a cold region, especially an arctic region at 20 C. or less, a blow-by gas mixed joint configured to introduce a blow-by gas flowing in a returning hose to an intake pipe includes a blow-by gas guide plate that defines introduction space expanding upstream and downstream of a blow-by gas inlet in an intake direction of an intake passage. The blow-by gas guide plate closes an upstream end of a part of the introduction space expanding upstream of a blow-by gas inlet and opens a downstream end of a part of the introduction space expanding downward of the blow-by gas inlet in the intake passage.
