The air intake has an air outlet. The fuel intake has a fuel inlet that is configured to receive fuel. The inner shell includes an inner shell intake that is configured to separately receive the air from the air outlet and the fuel from the fuel intake and to provide a gaseous fuel-air mixture. The inner shell cooperates with the outer shell to define a fuel intake collecting chamber that is configured to receive the fuel from the fuel inlet and a fuel intake concentrating chamber that is configured to receive the fuel from the fuel intake collecting chamber and provide the fuel to the inner shell intake.

Compression emissions evacuator
12129816 · 2024-10-29 · ·

An emissions evacuator system that collects natural gas vented from various components of a natural gas compressor system and directs the vented gases to the intake system of a natural gas engine of the compressor system. The evacuator system utilizes vacuum from an intake system of the natural gas engine contained on compressor packages to suck up the gaseous emissions from various emission sources on the compressor package. These emissions are rendered inert when combusted in the natural gas engine.

Fuel injection throttle body

A throttle body fuel injection system including a throttle body with at least one air intake, a fuel injector coupled to the throttle body at a fuel port and an annular ring coupled to the cylindrical inner wall of the air intake. The annular ring includes a primary fuel discharge orifice adjacent to the fuel port and a plurality of secondary fuel discharge orifices arranged radially around the annular ring for spraying atomized fuel into the air intake.

SECONDARY FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIESEL ENGINES

A secondary fueling system for a diesel internal combustion engine includes an injector which injects an oxygen-containing secondary fuel into the engine's air intake system, a pump which pumps the secondary fuel to the injector, a sensor which senses pressure in the air intake system, and a secondary fuel controller which receives output signals from the sensor and pump, operator inputs for the engine, and data signals pertaining to operation of the engine from the main engine controller, determines an injection amount of the secondary fuel based thereon, and controls the pump based on the determined injection amount. The secondary controller may operate an additional control wherein the injection amount of secondary fuel determined by the programmed secondary fuel controller is modified based on at least one of topology conditions of roads on which the vehicle is traveling and considerations of efficient engine output in comparison to driver requests for engine output.

Gas valve

A gas valve 1, in particular a dosing valve for a gaseous medium, having a valve seat body 3, which is arranged on a valve housing 2, and a closing body 7, which can perform a stroke motion relative to the valve seat body 3 and to an opening stroke stop 17 interacting with the valve housing 2. According to the invention, a gas valve 1 is provided which is improved as regards its durability. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the gas valve 1 has an impact body which reduces the impact speed and/or impact energy of the closing body 7 on the valve seat body 3 and/or on the opening stroke stop 17.

The present disclosure relates to a coolant system to cool an engine assembly. The coolant system includes a coolant pump impeller with multiple concentric ribs extending axially on a first side of the coolant pump impeller and multiple vanes extending axially on a second side of the coolant pump impeller. The coolant system also includes a coolant rail to collect coolant from a water jacket that surrounds portions of cylinders and a cylinder head of the engine assembly. The coolant system further includes bleed fittings to remove trapped air as the coolant system circulates coolant through the engine assembly. First and second bleed fittings are provided on opposite corners of the engine assembly such that either the first or the second bleed fitting is at a highest point of the coolant system based on an engine orientation of the engine assembly.

Intake apparatus for engine

Disclosed is an intake apparatus for an engine transversely mounted within an engine compartment at a front of a vehicle. The intake apparatus comprises: an intake manifold made of a synthetic resin and disposed on a front side of the engine, the engine front side being a front side of the vehicle; and a fuel distribution pipe disposed between the engine and the intake manifold to extend in the cylinder row direction and capable of delivering fuel to respective cylinders of the engine; wherein the intake manifold has a protruding portion provided on a front surface thereof to protrude from the front surface in a vehicle forward direction, wherein the protruding portion is provided at a position capable of allowing a member disposed in front of the intake manifold to come into collision therewith in the event of a vehicle frontal collision.
