Intake system for natural gas engine

The present invention relates to an intake system for natural gas engine. An intake system for an engine is provided. A conduit is configured to direct a combustible mixture to a cylinder head. A mixing unit is coupled to the conduit. The mixing unit includes a fuel doser configured to dispense fuel into the conduit and a first mixer positioned downstream of the fuel doser. The first mixer is configured to mix air and the fuel. The mixing unit further includes a exhaust gas doser configured to dispense exhaust gas into the conduit and a second mixer positioned downstream of the exhaust gas doser. The second mixer is configured to mix the exhaust gas with the air and the fuel to make the combustible mixture. An air intake throttle is configured to direct the air into the mixing unit.

INTAKE MANIFOLD STRUCTURE

Interference between an intake manifold and a fuel pipe during a vehicle front collision is prevented in an engine which is longitudinally mounted in an engine room. A vehicle component is arranged on the front side of the intake manifold, and the fuel pipe is arranged on the rear side of the intake manifold. The intake manifold includes a plurality of independent intake pipe portions arranged side by side in the vehicle front-rear direction which branch for each of the cylinders of the engine; and a plurality of coupling portions that each couple adjacent independent intake pipe portions to each other in an integral manner A first coupling portion of the plurality of coupling portions positioned on the frontmost side has a lower rigidity than a third coupling portion of the plurality of coupling portions positioned the rearmost side.

Fuel injection throttle body

A throttle body fuel injection system including a throttle body with at least one air intake, a fuel injector coupled to the throttle body at a fuel port and an annular ring coupled to the cylindrical inner wall of the air intake. The annular ring includes a primary fuel discharge orifice adjacent to the fuel port and a plurality of secondary fuel discharge orifices arranged radially around the annular ring for spraying atomized fuel into the air intake.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EQUALIZING BACKPRESSURE IN ENGINE CYLINDERS

An exhaust manifold comprises a plurality of exhaust intake conduits structured to be fluidly coupled to an engine and receive exhaust gas from a corresponding cylinder of the engine. At least one exhaust intake conduit provides a reduction in an exhaust intake conduit cross-sectional area from an inlet to an outlet. A plurality of bends are each defined by a respective one of the exhaust intake conduit outlets. An exhaust intake manifold is fluidly coupled to the exhaust intake manifold and defines an exhaust intake manifold flow axis. Each of the plurality of bends is shaped so as to define an angle of approach of exhaust gas flowing therethrough. A first angle of approach of the first bend relative to the exhaust intake manifold flow axis is smaller than a second angle of approach of an inner second bend.

Mixture formation unit and two stroke engine having a mixture formation unit

A mixture formation unit has a base body in which an intake channel section is formed. The intake channel section extends from a first end side of the base body to a second end side of the base body. The mixture formation unit has at least one rectilinearly extending channel which opens into the intake channel section. The channel opens at the first end side of the base body. The mixture formation unit is preferably provided for a two stroke engine whose intake channel is divided downstream of the mixture formation unit into a mixture channel and an air channel.
