The present disclosure relates to a pipeline for supplying a gas to an internal combustion engine, with a pipeline cross section forming a passage for the gas and a gas mass measuring device for measuring a gas mass flow. The pipeline is characterized in particular in that it comprises a mixing element made from a wire structure upstream from the gas mass measuring device and in that the mixing element serves for the thorough mixing of the gas in order to homogenize an inhomogeneous flow profile which is present upstream from the mixing element.

ENGINE INTAKE SYSTEM

In an engine compartment, a separation wall is provided between an intake pipe, which runs around to a rear side of the engine from a lateral side of the engine, and the engine. On an outer side of this separation wall, a travel wind guide having a vertical wall portion that opposes the separation wall with the intake pipe being therebetween is provided. The travel wind guide guides vehicle travel wind that is introduced into the engine compartment in a manner to cause the vehicle travel wind to flow along the intake pipe on the outer side of the separation wall.

There is disclosed a cooling system for a liquid cooled internal combustion power plant housed in an engine compartment in a tail cone of an aircraft. The cooling system has: a tail cone inlet defined through a wall of the tail cone and fluidly communicating with an environment; a wall inlet defined through a firewall of the engine compartment; a blower within the engine compartment and having a blower inlet and a blower outlet, the blower inlet fluidly communicating with the environment via the tail cone inlet, via the wall inlet, and via an interior of the engine compartment; a blower outlet defined through a wall of the aircraft and fluidly communicating with the environment; and a cooling flow path extending from the tail cone inlet to the air outlet and across the wall inlet, the cooling flow path in heat exchange relationship with the power plant.

MIXTURE FORMATION UNIT AND TWO STROKE ENGINE HAVING A MIXTURE FORMATION UNIT

A mixture formation unit has a base body in which an intake channel section is formed. The intake channel section extends from a first end side of the base body to a second end side of the base body. The mixture formation unit has at least one rectilinearly extending channel which opens into the intake channel section. The channel opens at the first end side of the base body. The mixture formation unit is preferably provided for a two stroke engine whose intake channel is divided downstream of the mixture formation unit into a mixture channel and an air channel.

Control device for an internal combustion engine

A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an intake channel, an exhaust gas recirculation channel which enters into the intake channel, a control element, a mixing housing which forms the intake channel, a connection element, a compressor, and a shaft. The mixing housing has a mouth of the exhaust gas recirculation channel in a lower area, an outlet, a mixing housing section, and a bowl-shaped recess. The cross-sectional extension is formed via the mixing housing to provide an axial stop face. The connection element abuts against the axial stop face and is radially limited by an axially opposite inner wall surface on the stop face. The mixing housing section has a recess arranged at the lowest point of the mixing housing section and below the axially opposite inner wall surface. The recess enters into the bowl-shaped recess of the mixing housing.

To provide a compact intake manifold which can easily and reliably hold the flame arrester (25) to the base member, the base member (21) having the flame arrester (25) incorporated therein has the recessed body portion (31) and the annular fitting holding portion (32) for fitting the flame arrester (25) in the axial direction. The fitting holding portion (32) includes an abutment surface (32a) and a fitting inner wall peripheral surface (32b). The flame arrester (25) includes a flame suppressing structure (26), an outer cylinder body (27) surrounding the flame suppression structure (26), and an elastic holder member (51) which covers the outer peripheral surface and both end faces of the outer cylindrical body (27). The elastic holder member (51) has an outer peripheral fitting portion (52) fitted to the fitting holding portion (32) while being held in close contact with the outer cylindrical body (27).

RECTIFICATION STRUCTURAL BODY

A rectification structural body includes a pipe line configured such that air flows from an air cleaner to an airflow sensor. The pipe line has a portion bent in an arc shape. In the pipe line, an air guide plate dividing an internal space of the pipe line into an inner portion and an outer portion of the arc is provided substantially parallel with the center line of the pipe line. The air guide plate includes two ribs. The two ribs are each in an arc shape. The two ribs stand, inside the pipe line, facing each other to extend toward each other. End edges of the two ribs are separated from each other in a rib standing direction by 0.5 to 5 mm at least on an airflow sensor side of the pipe line.

GAS-LIQUID SEPARATOR

A gas-liquid separator includes a cylindrical inlet pipe and a fluid inflow pipe. The inlet pipe includes a fluid inlet which is formed in a fluid entering side and radially opens. An axis line of the inlet pipe horizontally extends. The fluid inflow pipe includes at an end a connection opening connected to the fluid inlet. An axis line of the fluid inflow pipe horizontally extends. The fluid inflow pipe introduces the gas-liquid two-phase fluid through the fluid inlet from a side of the inlet pipe. In a connecting portion, a position of an axis line extending through a center of a connection opening in communication with the fluid inlet is vertically offset with respect to a position of the axis line of the inlet pipe.

Convolute-swirl integrated duct for swirl generation

Methods and systems are provided for a convolute-swirl integrated duct (CSID). In one example the CSID may be configured to comply with engine roll and induce swirl in an intake air flow. Engine roll is absorbed as a result of a positioning of the CSID along an intake passage upstream of a compressor inlet and pre-whirl is introduced to intake air prior to delivery of the intake air to a compressor.
