An assembling structure for an intake manifold includes: a first downstream portion; a second downstream portion; an upstream portion; a connecting member that connects the first downstream portion and the second downstream portion with each other; and a plate-shaped stay. The connecting member is fixed to the first downstream portion and the second downstream portion by a bolt, and an other member that is a member other than the intake manifold is fixed to the intake manifold through the stay at least either between the connecting member and the first downstream portion, or between the connecting member and the second downstream portion.

A first downstream part of an intake manifold has a first downstream passage configured to communicate with an intake port of a first cylinder head. A second downstream part of the intake manifold has a second downstream passage configured to communicate with an intake port of a second cylinder head. An upstream part is coupled to the first downstream part and the second downstream part. The upstream part is arranged upstream from the first and second downstream parts in the flow direction of intake air and has a first upstream passage and a second upstream passage. The material of the first downstream part and the material of the second downstream part both have higher rigidity than the material of the upstream part.

A decoupler includes a short bellows of ten or fewer convolutions, an internal liner spaced from the bellows internally and a cover spaced radially outward from the bellows providing an air gap both internally and externally of the bellows. The liner has a free-standing downstream end proximate a damper which is captured by a cover, inner damper ring and slide ring. Two decouplers are mounted in series to accommodate angular, axial and lateral displacement when operably connecting two end pipes and one central pipe.

A distal jumper tube includes a distal jumper tube conduit with an upstream end having a first exterior engagement feature and a downstream end. A proximal jumper tube includes a proximal jumper tube conduit with an upstream end and a downstream end having a second exterior engagement feature. A middle jumper tube includes a middle jumper tube conduit with an upstream end having a third exterior engagement feature, and a downstream end having a fourth engagement feature. The first exterior engagement feature is removably coupled to the fourth exterior engagement feature, and the second exterior engagement feature is removably engaged to the third exterior engagement feature. The proximal jumper tube is in fluid receiving communication with an intake manifold conduit, and the distal jumper tube is in fluid providing communication with a cylinder head aperture.

The first part has a first flange and may be a formed part, such as an intake manifold. The second part has a second flange and may be a component, such as a throttle body, for attachment to the first part. The component includes a fastener-passing bore having an inner diameter. The locator and expansion shear pin extends perpendicularly from the first flange. The pin includes an expansion wall extending beyond the surface of the flange. A fastener-receiving bore is formed concentrically in the pin relative to the wall. The wall is expandable from a first diameter to a second diameter. The first diameter is less than the inner diameter of the fastener-passing bore. The second diameter is at least equal to the inner diameter of the fastener-passing bore.
