Charge air line of an internal combustion engine and internal combustion engine

A charge air line of an internal combustion engine for supplying multiple cylinders of a cylinder bank of the internal combustion engine arranged in-line with charge air, has multiple charge air line sections. Emanating from each charge air line section a branch leads to a cylinder, the branch screwable to a cylinder head of the respective cylinder. The charge air line has an upstream end, via which charge air is feedable to the charge air line, and a downstream end, which is closed by an end cap. At the downstream end, the charge air line has a larger flow cross section than at the downstream end.

The cover has therein an intake path that guides air to the intake port, and is also provided with, at a position that is adjacent to the intake path and enters the concave space, a silencer that attenuates the sound during intake.

The electrically controlled throttle is attached to the intake manifold such that the electronic control unit is separated outward in a radial direction of an engine rotation shaft.

The cool liquid flow path has an inlet and outlet of the cool liquid on one side in a first direction along the flow of the cool liquid. The intake air flow path has an inlet of the intake air on one side in a second direction along the flow of the intake air, and an outlet of the intake air on another side.

Outboard machine

This outboard machine has: a V-type engine (engine) in which a plurality of cylinders are arranged in a V-shape when viewed in a plan view; and a cover that covers the engine. The engine has a plurality of intake ports that form pairs in a V-shape inside the plurality of cylinders in a plan view and a concave space is formed between the plurality of intake ports. The cover has therein an intake path that guides air to the intake port, and is also provided with, at a position that is adjacent to the intake path and enters the concave space, a silencer that attenuates the sound during intake.

Integral intake manifold

An engine component includes an intake manifold of stratified layers defining a plurality of runners each having a gas outlet leading to a cylinder head, and a plenum including partial walls forming channels radiating from a common gas inlet extending into a gooseneck conduit having an incorporated positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) apparatus. The gooseneck conduit transitions into the channels and runners such that there is no seal between the gooseneck, plenum, and runners.
