ACOUSTIC ATTENUATION DEVICE FOR AN INTAKE LINE
The invention relates to an acoustic attenuation device (1) for a turbocharger, or for a supercharger, arranged along an air intake line of a vehicle. The attenuation device (1) comprises a gas supply pipe (2) having a peripheral wall (21) and a diameter (d2), the pipe (2) comprising at least one annular chamber (3) defined by a diameter (d3) greater than the diameter (d2) of the pipe (2), the or each annular chamber (3) being sealed by a wall (5) comprising porous material that is positioned in the extension of the peripheral wall (21) of the pipe (2), according to a diameter (d5) substantially equal to the diameter of the pipe (2), in order to allow air to flow between the pipe (2) and the or each peripheral chamber (3).
AIR CLEANER OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
An air cleaner of an internal combustion engine is provided with a first housing including an inlet, a second housing including an outlet, and a filter element located between the first housing and the second housing. A Helmholtz resonator is arranged inside the first housing. An upright wall projects from a bottom wall of the first housing toward the filter element and extends in an axial direction of the inlet. The upright wall forms a chamber of the Helmholtz resonator. A noise-absorption region is defined by the upright wall, a side wall of the first housing, the bottom wall, and the filter element. The noise-absorption region leads to the inlet and extends in the axial direction.
Silencer for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle
A silencer for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle having a turbocharger and a charge air cooler is provided. The silencer includes a turbocharger module with a passage duct. An inlet interface is fastened to an outlet connector of the turbocharger of the internal combustion engine. An outlet interface of the turbocharger module is fastened one or more modules configured as a resonator module and/or a charge air cooler module. An outlet interface of the module most remote from the outlet connector of the turbocharger is fastened to an inlet interface of a feed line for the charge air cooler of the internal combustion engine.
Intake sound reduction device for internal combustion engine
Intake sound reduction device for internal combustion engine includes an elastic member formed into substantially cylindrical shape and having an open base end, a top end sealed by an end surface wall and a bellows circumferential wall; a base plate retaining base end of elastic member; and a communication pipe whose one end is connected to base plate so that a volume chamber formed inside elastic member communicates with an intake passage of the engine. Intake sound reduction device has first resonance system formed by expansion and contraction in axial direction of elastic member and second resonance system formed by film-vibration of end surface wall. When either one of resonance frequencies of the first and second resonance systems is primary resonance frequency and the other is secondary resonance frequency, the primary resonance frequency is set to 30200 Hz and the secondary resonance frequency is set to 50300 Hz.
VEHICULAR RESONATOR
The present invention relates to a vehicular resonator comprising: an outer pipe that constitutes the exterior thereof; an inner pipe, a part of which is inserted into the outer pipe, and which has a slit formed therein as an air movement passage; a movable pipe configured to be able to move inside a resonation chamber formed between the outer pipe and the inner pipe; and an elastic body having one side thereof coupled to the inner pipe and the other side thereof coupled to the movable pipe, thereby providing the movable pipe with an elastic force such that the movable pipe can move.
VEHICLE SILENCER
The present invention relates to a vehicle silencer comprising: a first case provided in a vehicle; a second case coupled to the first case; a resonant chamber positioned between the first case and the second case; and a passing hole formed by penetrating the second case, such that the inside of the second case and the resonant chamber communicate with each other therethrough, wherein the second case includes a first passing member formed such that the thickness thereof gradually decreases toward a first direction.
TUNABLE INJECTION MOLDED RESONATOR
A method including providing a mold cavity to produce an outer contour of an acoustic resonator and providing a mold core to produce an inner contour of the resonator. The inner contour corresponds to a plenum, and a connecting channel in fluid communication with the plenum. An insert fitting adjacent to the mold core defines a length of the connecting channel during injection molding of the resonator.
COMPACT ACOUSTIC RESONATOR FOR ENCLOSED SYSTEMS
A noise reduction system includes an enclosed system in which undesirable acoustic noise is generated by one or more associated noise-generating subsystems, and an acoustic resonator mounted on an exterior wall of the enclosed system, with an opening being defined through the exterior wall to allow for the passage of sound pressure waves from within the enclosed system to the acoustic resonator. The acoustic resonator includes a neck connected to the exterior wall at the opening and through which sound pressure waves from the enclosed system travel, at least two branches extending off from the neck, and a resonator connected to a distal end of each of the at least two branches.
Tunable injection molded resonator
