Controller of fuel system for vehicle

A controller of a fuel system for a vehicle is provided in which heat is dissipated outside from a printed circuit board to cool the controller. The dissipated heat is utilized to maximize the efficiency of the purge operation using a canister by waste heat. The controller is integrated with an air filter for removing foreign substances from air to be suctioned into a canister, and is configured to realize heat exchange between air passing through the air filter and a motor driver.

The present invention provides improved auxiliary fuel tank control systems and methods that avoid the need for locating, identifying, and tapping into a wire leading from the sending unit of the vehicle's primary fuel tank by connecting directly to a diagnostic port of the vehicle which is in communication with the output from the sending unit. Based on information received from the sending unit, embodiments of the invention may automatically cause fuel to be pumped from an auxiliary tank to the primary tank when the amount of fuel in the primary tank drops below a threshold.

EMERGENCY OPERATION METHOD FOR ACTUATING A FUEL PUMP

An emergency operation method for actuating a fuel pump after a first temperature threshold for an actuation electronics system of the fuel pump has been exceeded including reducing a power consumption of an electric motor that drives a pump stage by the actuation electronics system by reducing a rotational speed until a monitored temperature value falls below a second temperature threshold below the first temperature threshold. Emergency operation method is initiated after the first temperature threshold is exceeded by a fault signal output by the actuation electronics system to an engine control unit is communicatively connected to the actuation electronics system. The fault signal, as long as it is output, is used to suppress a specification for the rotational speed of the electric motor on the part of the engine control unit and instead to specify the rotational speed by way of the actuation electronics system.

An electric fuel pump includes a housing having an oil inlet and an oil outlet, an impeller, a stator unit mounted in the housing and including a stator and a starter terminal set connected to the stator, a packaging adhesive encapsulating the stator and the starter terminal set to create an oil guide passage in communication between the oil inlet and the oil outlet, and a rotor unit mounted in the housing and including a rotor rotatably mounted in the stator and a rotating shaft mounted in the rotor and connected with the impeller. When the stator unit is electrically conducted, the rotor unit drives the impeller to draw a fuel oil into the oil guide passage. When the fuel oil goes through the oil guide passage, the stator and the starter terminal set are well protected by the packaging adhesive and prohibited from contacting the fuel oil.

Fuel pump, fuel supply device, and fuel supply control system

A fuel pump has a pump function of sucking fuel in a fuel tank and discharging fuel, and a detection function of detecting a capacitance correlated to a concentration of alcohol in fuel in the fuel tank. The fuel pump includes a pump main body that is received in the fuel tank to perform the pump function, a housing electrode that covers the pump main body in the fuel tank, and an outside electrode that is located outside of the housing electrode in the fuel tank.
