Fuel tank assembly having crossover tube
A fuel tank assembly includes a primary fuel tank, a secondary fuel tank, a crossover tube, a fuel pump, a transfer tube, and a jet pump. The crossover tube is fluidly coupled with each of the primary fuel tank and the secondary fuel tank and defines a flow path for fuel to flow between the primary fuel tank and the secondary fuel. The fuel pump is disposed within the primary fuel tank and is configured to selectively supply fuel from the primary fuel tank to an engine. The transfer tube is routed internal to the crossover tube and is in fluid communication with each of the primary fuel tank and the secondary fuel tank. The jet pump is in fluid communication with the transfer tube and is configured to facilitate the flow of pressurized fuel from the secondary fuel tank, through the transfer tube, and into the primary fuel tank.

FUEL SUPPLY DEVICES
A fuel supply device includes a cover member attached to an opening of a fuel tank, a pump unit including a pump, and a connecting portion which connects the cover member and the pump unit. The pump unit is connected so as to be relatively movable with respect to the connecting portion when a connecting shaft which is formed as part of one of the connecting portion or the pump unit, is inserted into the connecting hole formed as part of the other of the two. The connecting hole has an elongated hole portion that allows the connecting shaft to move in the upward and downward directions, and allows the pump unit to be relatively movable with respect to the connecting portion. The pump unit includes an engagement portion abutting a lower terminal end of the connecting portion when the fuel supply device is attached to the fuel tank.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICES
A fuel supply device includes a cover member attached to an opening of a fuel tank, a pump unit including a pump, and a connecting portion which connects the cover member and the pump unit. The pump unit is connected so as to be relatively movable with respect to the connecting portion when a connecting shaft which is formed as part of one of the connecting portion or the pump unit, is inserted into the connecting hole formed as part of the other of the two. The connecting hole has an elongated hole portion that allows the connecting shaft to move in the upward and downward directions, and allows the pump unit to be relatively movable with respect to the connecting portion. The pump unit includes an engagement portion abutting a lower terminal end of the connecting portion when the fuel supply device is attached to the fuel tank.
VALVE CASE MOUNTING STRUCTURE
A valve case mounting structure includes a mount base and a valve case. The mount base includes a valve case support portion and a retainer piece having a first engagement opening and a second engagement opening. The valve case includes an engaging projection portion, and a holder portion. When the engaging projection portion is positioned at a front end side of the first engagement opening, the retainer piece does not reach the holder portion. When the engaging projection portion is moved from the front end side of the first engagement opening toward the second engagement opening, a front end portion of the retainer piece is inserted into the holding space before becoming unable to be inserted into the holder portion.
Fuel tank
A fuel tank includes a tank main body having an opening, a pump unit mounted to a mounting position on a bottom of the tank main body through the opening and having a fuel pump and a pump retaining member retaining the fuel pump and, and a guide means configured to guide the pump unit from an opening side of the tank main body to the mounting position on a bottom side of the tank main body. The guide means includes a guide rail provided on the tank main body and a slider provided on the pump unit. The slider is configured to be slidably engaged with the guide rail.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICES
A fuel supply device includes a pump unit with a fuel pump that has a rotary body rotating about a rotary shaft and a load receiving portion, configured to receive the load of the pump unit. A connecting portion is provided for connecting the pump unit to the load receiving portion such that the pump unit is suspended by the load receiving portion. The connecting portion is disposed so as to extend across a virtual plane which is perpendicular to the rotary shaft for the rotary body of the fuel pump and passes through the center of gravity of the pump unit.

A fuel supply device includes a pump unit with a fuel pump that has a rotary body rotating about a rotary shaft and a load receiving portion, configured to receive the load of the pump unit. A connecting portion is provided for connecting the pump unit to the load receiving portion such that the pump unit is suspended by the load receiving portion. The connecting portion is disposed so as to extend across a virtual plane which is perpendicular to the rotary shaft for the rotary body of the fuel pump and passes through the center of gravity of the pump unit.

A fuel supply device includes a cover, a base including a base main body, and a connecting portion configured to connect the cover and the base. The base main body and the connecting portion are connected by a connecting shaft comprising a shaft portion and a bulge portion, a connecting hole formed so as to continuously extend an engagement region and an insertion region, and a stopper piece capable of limiting a movable range of the shaft portion located within the engagement region towards the insertion region. A guide mechanism is provided for guiding the connecting shaft to move so that at least one part of the stopper piece is positioned between the bulge portion and the base portion when a predetermined amount of force is applied to the connecting shaft.

The base main body and the connecting portion are connected by a connecting shaft comprising a shaft portion and a bulge portion, a connecting hole formed so as to continuously extend an engagement region and an insertion region, and a stopper piece capable of limiting a movable range of the shaft portion located within the engagement region towards the insertion region. A guide mechanism is provided for guiding the connecting shaft to move so that at least one part of the stopper piece is positioned between the bulge portion and the base portion when a predetermined amount of force is applied to the connecting shaft.
