A refiner device for refining of a liquid, wherein the refiner device includes a housing provided with a liquid inlet for unrefined oil or fuel, a liquid outlet for refined oil or fuel, an air inlet for supplying a flow of air into the housing, and an air outlet for discharging air and contaminants removed from the liquid. The refiner device further includes a liquid receiving plate arranged inside the housing, the refiner device arranged such that when liquid has passed through the liquid inlet during operation of the device, the liquid is contacted with an upper surface of the liquid receiving plate before it reaches the liquid outlet, and at least one heating element arranged to directly or indirectly heat the liquid while the liquid is in contact with the liquid receiving plate. The refiner device further includes a hollow air-guiding member arranged at the liquid receiving plate.

An engine (100) operable in a premixed combustion system and a diffusion combustion system. The engine (100) includes a main fuel injection valve (79), a pilot fuel injection valve (82), a liquid fuel tank (33), a main fuel supply path (121), a pilot fuel supply path (122), a pilot fuel filter (141), a pilot fuel high-pressure pump (56), a pilot fuel tank (171), and a pilot fuel supply pump (173). The pilot fuel tank (171) stores pilot fuel sent from the pilot fuel high-pressure pump (56) and not injected by the pilot fuel injection valve (82). This pilot fuel is sent to an automatic backwash filter (174) and a pilot fuel filter (141) while not passing through the liquid fuel tank (33).

Backflush filter and filter insert for the latter

A backflush filter for liquid media, having a filter housing, which is formed by means of at least one supporting cage, which has at least two groups of slot-type apertures, and at least one filtering means supported on the supporting cage, where-in the apertures of each group extend in parallel alignment with one another and are separated from one another by ribs, and having a backflushing device, which is arranged in the interior of the filter insert, is rotatable and has at least one slit, said backflushing device being designed for flushing of the filtering means via the slit and apertures. The direction of motion of the backflushing device can be reversed during the backflush cycle and a filter insert therefore, wherein the backflush filter and the filter insert include a filtering means having a pleated, preferably multi-ply, filter fabric or filter cloth with pleating folds, and the ribs fit by means of a rib front into respective pleating folds.

Disclosed is a fuel system (20) for an engine (4) of a marine vessel (1). The fuel system (20) comprises a settling tank (110) for cleaning fuel for the engine (4), and a service tank (130) for storing fuel for the engine (4). The fuel system (20) also comprises a filtration system (220) comprising a first filter (222) through which fuel flowing from the settling tank (110) to the service tank (130) passes. The filtration system (220) is configured to be operable in a first mode in which the first filter (222) removes contaminants from fuel flowing from the settling tank (110) to the service tank (130), and in a second mode in which fuel flows from the service tank (130) through the first filter (222) to dislodge the contaminants from the first filter (222).
