Fuel filter assembly
A fuel filter is provided which comprises a manifold, a connector element, a filter bowl, a filter element, an inlet shutoff valve, an outlet shutoff valve, an inlet port, an inlet passage, an outlet port, an outlet passage and a relief valve in which the connector element is fixed to the manifold, and the filter bowl is reversibly fixed to the connector element. The filter bowl is adapted to reversibly receive the filter element and is so configured that when the filter element is located within the filter bowl and the filter bowl attached to the connection element the filter element divides the space defined by the connector element and filter bowl into an inlet filter chamber and an outlet filter chamber. The inlet port mouths through a surface of the manifold, and the inlet port and inlet filter chamber are in fluid communication via the inlet passage.

FILTER ASSEMBLY WITH PRIMER
A fuel filter assembly utilities a filter with a filter head having a primer. The primer includes a diaphragm and a valve plate which define a primer reservoir. A first check valve and a second check valve are mounted to an opening and a plurality of orifices. The first check valve consists of a ball valve. The use of a ball valve allows for an increased flow rate through the opening.
Method and apparatus for modifying an OEM fuel system for bi-fuel use
The present invention is a system and method for adapting and modifying an existing mono-fuel delivery system for an internal combustion engine to run as a bi-fuel system by reusing and repurposing OEM components of the mono-fuel system. The bi-fuel system makes use of an integration plate that may be mounted to the system fuel filter in substantially the same location as the fuel filter is mounted in the mono-fuel configuration. The integration plate also may deliver either fuel types into the existing engine fuel intake port thus the system does not require the creation of a secondary fuel intake port for the secondary fuel. The integration plate may also be situated such that it minimizes the space it must use within the engine compartment and it may use the preexisting engine mounting points designed for the fuel filter in the mono-fuel system.
Variable Fluid Flow Apparatus with Integrated Filter
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a fluid flow trim apparatus includes an outer housing defining a cavity having an interior surface and an end wall having an orifice therethrough, a valve body comprising a first valve portion disposed at least partly within the cavity, the first valve portion and the interior surface defining a first fluid flow path, a second valve portion in contact with the interior surface and defining a second fluid flow path. A third valve portion is disposed at least partly within the cavity between the first and second valve portions. The second fluid flow path fluidically connects the third valve portion to a trim cavity. A filter media extends from the first valve portion to the second valve portion and divides a third fluid flow path fluidically connecting the first and seconds fluid flow paths.
NO FILTER NO RUN FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM
A filter system including a designated filter cartridge including a geometric projection therein and a filter cartridge housing. The filter cartridge housing including a valve that controls fluid flow out of the filter system, a filter cartridge housing, and a filter cartridge housing cover. The valve may include an opening keyed to the geometric projection such that the geometric projection engages the opening and actuates the valve, and the valve may be configured to attach to the filter cartridge housing cover by a snap fit connection.
Filter assembly for separating water from fuel
A filter assembly is configured to prevent water from infiltrating a fuel tank and/or engine. The filter assembly may include a housing having a fuel inlet line and a fuel outlet line. The housing defines an internal chamber in fluid communication with the fuel inlet line and the fuel outlet line. Fuel passes into the internal chamber through the fuel inlet, and filtered fuel passes out of the internal chamber to the fuel tank and/or the engine through the fuel outlet line. A filtering frame may be secured within the internal chamber, and may include a coalescing frame portion that is configured to allow water to coalesce thereon and sink toward a bottom of the internal chamber, and a hydrophobic frame portion that is configured to repel the water from a valve coupled to the fuel outlet line. A flow restrictor is configured to float on the water toward the valve. The flow restrictor sealingly engages the valve to prevent fluid from flowing through the valve when a surface level of the water is proximate to the valve.
Fuel pump assembly
The invention relates to a fuel pump assembly for a motor vehicle, which can be upstream of a fuel pump of the motor vehicle in a fuel line of the motor vehicle, having a pump housing and a pump device arranged thereupon, by means of which fuel can be pumped into and/or through the pump housing when the pump device is in the active state thereof, wherein the pump device has at least one stroke piston pump having an inlet valve and an outlet valve which are opened and closed in alternation by pressure activation when the pump device is active. In order to provide a fuel pump assembly which enables a very energy efficient operation of a motor vehicle thereby equipped, according to the invention the inlet valve and the outlet valve are held in the open positions thereof when the pump device is inactive.
