Control device of internal combustion engine
In an internal combustion engine, fluctuations in combustion torque are suppressed to reduce vibration and prevent deterioration of ride comfort of a driver. Therefore, a control device of an internal combustion engine 100 having a plurality of cylinders 150 (a first cylinder 151, a second cylinder 152, a third cylinder 153, and a fourth cylinder 154) includes a combustion state detection unit for detecting whether the plurality of cylinders 150 are in a normal combustion state or a flame-out state, and a control device 1 which controls driving of a fuel pump 131 that is a load of a combustion torque generated by the cylinder 150. The control device 1 suppresses the driving of the fuel pump 131 at a predetermined combustion timing of the cylinders 151 to 154 of the flame-out state in a case where it is determined that any one of the cylinders 151 to 154 among the plurality of cylinders 150 is in the flame-out state.
Roller drive mechanism for GDI pump
In a high pressure fuel supply system, a variable speed motor asynchronously actuates a pumping piston with a drive mechanism including a circular cam with cam roller, having an axis that is offset from the axis of the cam drive shaft. A rolling or sliding cam follower is rigidly connected to the piston, and a piston retainer is operatively connected among the piston, the cam follower and the cam roller. As the cam shaft rotates, the cam roller rotates eccentrically relative to the cam shaft while maintaining contact with the cam follower, thereby reciprocating the follower and the piston along the actuation axis, in corresponding charging and pumping strokes of the piston.
SYSTEME D'INJECTION HYDRAULIQUE A CAME
The hydraulic injection system (100) with cam comprises an injection valve (50) housed in a tubular injection nozzle (54), a gap being formed between a valve stem (51) of said valve (50) and the inner surface of the tubular injection nozzle (54) to allow an injectable fluid (58) coming from pressurizing means (10) to flow, while a receiver piston (62) fixed with respect to said valve (50) receives on the one hand the pressure of the injectable fluid (58) to hold said valve (50) closed, and on the other hand, the pressure of a hydraulic fluid (60) to open said valve (50), an injection cam (67) being capable to move said receiver piston (62) via an emitter piston (69) and said hydraulic fluid (60).
TAPPET ASSEMBLY WITH FORMED ANTI-ROTATION ALIGNMENT DEVICE
A tappet assembly including an outer cup having a substantially cylindrical side wall, an annular lip portion disposed at a first end of the side wall, and an annular ledge disposed on the side wall, the annular ledge being disposed in a plane that is transverse to a longitudinal center axis of the tappet assembly. An inner cup includes an annular lip extending outwardly therefrom and a pair of shaft apertures, and is disposed in the outer cup so that the lip abuts the annular ledge of the outer cup and is non-rotatably fixed thereto by the annular lip of the outer cup which abuts the lip of the inner cup. A shaft is received in the shaft apertures, and a roller tappet is rotatably received on the shaft such that a portion of the roller tappet extends axially outwardly beyond the annular lip portion of the outer cup, and an alignment device formed in the outer cup.
TAPPET ASSEMBLY WITH UNGROUND OUTER CUP
A shaft is received in the shaft apertures, and a roller tappet is rotatably received on the shaft such that a portion of the roller tappet extends axially outwardly beyond the annular lip portion of the outer cup, and an anti-rotation feature formed in the outer cup, wherein the outer surface of the outer cup is an unground surface.
Lifter providing improved cam lobe lubrication
A cam follower assembly includes a cam roller, and a generally cylindrical body having an outer peripheral surface configured to be reciprocally slidable within a bore of an engine component. The cam roller is rotatably mounted on the body and configured to engage with a cam lobe on a camshaft of the engine. The cam lobe is operative to drive the body to a position at which the cam follower assembly causes one of opening of a valve or actuation of a fuel injector of the engine. A groove is formed in the body inset from the outer peripheral surface and extending axially along the outer peripheral surface parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body and aligned with an axial median plane of the cam roller and the cam lobe.
DIRECT INJECTION ASSEMBLY FOR A DUAL INJECTION SYSTEM OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A direct injection assembly includes a follower mechanism having an input piston operably engaged with a camshaft and moving between first and second input positions along a first follower axis, in response to the camshaft rotating about a camshaft axis. The follower mechanism further includes an output piston movable between first and second output positions along a second follower axis. The follower mechanism further includes a coupler mechanism movable between a deactivated state and an activated state where the coupler mechanism holds the input piston and the output piston in fixed positions relative to one another, such that the coupler mechanism transmits a force from the input piston to the output piston. A pump includes a plunger movable from a first plunger position to a second plunger position where the plunger pressurizes the volume of fuel, in response to the plunger receiving the force from the output piston.
ARRANGEMENT FOR TRANSFERRING FORCE FROM A CAMSHAFT TO AN OUTPUT DEVICE
A force transfer arrangement for transferring a force from a rotating camshaft to an output device, that is able to reduce the transversal force on the camshaft. The proposed connection device force transfer arrangement is configured to cause forces to act on the camshaft from substantially opposite directions which effectively produces a resultant force on the camshaft to be close to zero, or at least be reduced compared to prior art force transfer solutions. Thus, the transverse forces on the camshaft and therefore on e.g. bearings supporting the camshaft are reduced thereby the lifetime of the bearings is prolonged.

The tappet body is a machined metal tube or bar and is provided with a radial plate that is securely fixed within tappet bore, said radial plate being dedicated to support a longitudinally movable piston.
