Working Method of Orifice and Fuel Injection Valve
An object of the present invention is to provide a working method of an orifice, which has excellent working accuracy and high productivity in order to work an inclination portion (tapered portion) on the entire circumference of an inner wall of an orifice. Therefore, a working method of an orifice includes a first step of forming an orifice hole 54d in an orifice forming member, a second step of pressing a downstream end surface of the orifice forming member in which the orifice hole 54d opens, in a direction toward an upstream side of the orifice hole 54d by a punch 46 having a cutting blade portion 46a larger than a cross section of the orifice hole 54d. The second step causes a material of the orifice forming member to flow from an entire circumference at the downstream end portion of the orifice hole 54d to an inside of the orifice hole 54d to form a cross-sectional area reduction portion 54s in which a cross-sectional area of the orifice hole 54d is reduced from an upstream side to a downstream side.
Piezoelectric injector and method for controlling the same
A piezoelectric injector includes: a first piezo actuator and a second piezo actuator; a control valve connected to the first piezo actuator and the second piezo actuator through a control piston; at least one drain chamber in which the control valve and the control piston are movably received; a control chamber connected to the drain chamber through a first drain throttle and a second drain throttle having different diameters; and a needle movable by a change in fuel pressure of the control chamber to open and close at least one nozzle orifice. As at least one of the first piezo actuator and the second piezo actuator expands, a fuel is drained from the control chamber to the drain chamber through at least one of the first drain throttle and the second drain throttle.
Two-stroke internal combustion engine
A two-stroke internal combustion engine has at least one cylinder (1) receiving a piston (2) and having at least one injection nozzle (4) in the form of a multi-hole low-pressure nozzle inserted in a bore (5) in the cylinder jacket (6). The multi-hole low-pressure nozzle has a nozzle plate (15) with nozzle openings (16) arranged within an enveloping circle (17) to form a common nozzle jet (11) with an opening angle (α) dependent on the inclination of the nozzle axis (12) relative to the orifice surface of the bore and preventing the nozzle jet from being applied to the cylinder jacket. A resulting vector (14) from the velocity vector (13) of the nozzle jet in the direction of the nozzle axis (12) and the velocity vector (10) of the flushing air flow in the flow main direction defines with the cylinder jacket a maximum inclination angle (γ) of 20°.
Compressed self-ignition type internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine includes a fuel injection nozzle in which a nozzle hole that injects fuel is provided to be exposed to a combustion chamber from a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine, and a hollow duct in which an inlet and an outlet are exposed to the combustion chamber. The duct is provided to penetrate through an inside of the cylinder head so that fuel spray injected from the nozzle hole of the fuel injection nozzle passes from the inlet to the outlet. The duct is preferably configured so that a direction from the inlet to the outlet corresponds to a direction of the fuel spray injected from the nozzle hole.
Fluid injector orifice plate for colliding fluid jets
An injector nozzle used with an internal combustion engine for shaping a fluid flow is provided. The nozzle has a body and an orifice plate provided at an outlet of the body. The body and the plate extend symmetrically with respect to a central axis. The plate has an interior surface and an opposite exterior surface, which are substantially parallel to each other to define a thickness of the plate. The plate has fluid passageways each having an orifice on the exterior surface. The fluid flow diverges through the fluid passageways to create stream jets. The imaginary extensions the passageways converge to create a focal point and an included angle associated with the focal point.
Fuel Injector Valve Seat Assembly Including Insert Sealing Features
A fuel injector including a fuel injector housing (2), a valve seat (4) formed at one end of the fuel injector housing (2), and a valve body (10) disposed in the fuel injector housing (2) and operable to open and close a spray hole (8) in the valve seat. The valve seat (4) includes abase portion (16) and insert portion (26) having spray holes (8) that is secured to the base portion (16).
Fuel Injector Valve Seat Assembly Including an Insert that Forms a Valve Seat
A fuel injector including a fuel injector housing (2), a valve seat (4) formed at one end of the fuel injector housing (2), and a valve body (10) disposed in the fuel injector housing (2) and operable to open and close a spray hole in the valve seat (4). The valve seat (4) includes a base portion (16) and insert portion (26) having spray holes (8) that is secured to the base portion (16).
Valve for metering a fluid, in particular, a fuel injector
A valve, in particular, a fuel injector, has an improved sealing at its spray-side end. The fuel injector includes an excitable actuator for actuating a valve closing body, which together with a valve seat surface formed on a valve seat body forms a seal seat, and spray openings formed downstream of the valve seat surface, and a valve seat support, which accommodates the valve seat body, forms a portion of a valve housing and is fixedly connected to the valve seat body. A plastically deformable sealing element is introduced into an annular gap between the valve seat support and the valve seat body to avoid corrosion and damage of a weld seam.
Fuel injector with divided flowpath nozzle
A fuel delivery system and a direct injector for directly injecting fuel into a cylinder are provided. In one example, a direct fuel injector includes a nozzle in fluidic communication with a fuel source, the nozzle includes at least one fuel flow path that divides into two exit flow paths within the nozzle defining a plurality of exit orifices stemming from a common inlet orifice thereby improving the atomization and mixing of the fuel as it enters the cylinder. A plurality of spaced-apart divided fuel flow paths may be positioned within the nozzle to further optimize mixing and reduce wall and piston wetting.
