A shot variation in injection quantity of a fuel injection device is reduced. A control device according to an aspect of the present invention performs a first current control for a solenoid by a first current waveform by applying a reverse voltage to the solenoid before a mover or a valve collides with a fixed portion, when an injection quantity of a fuel from opening to closing of the valve of the fuel injection device is a set value or more. In addition, the control device performs a second current control for the solenoid by a second current waveform so that a current larger than a holding current holding the mover or the valve in a state of being in contact with the fixed portion flows to the solenoid, until the mover or the valve collides with the fixed portion, when the injection quantity of the fuel from opening to closing of the valve is less than the set value.
TWO-PIECE OUTLET CHECK IN FUEL INJECTOR FOR STARTING-FLOW RATE SHAPING
A fuel injector nozzle assembly includes a two-piece outlet check having a timing control piece and a rate control piece. A nozzle passage is formed between a nozzle body and a two-piece outlet check, and a sac cavity is formed by the rate control piece and the nozzle body and fluidly connects a through-hole in the rate control piece to nozzle outlets. A starting-flow clearance is formed by the rate control piece and the timing control piece, and is opened by moving the timing control piece relative to the rate control piece. Moving the rate control piece relative to the nozzle body opens a main-flow seat. The nozzle assembly provides a slow starting injection rate shape in a common rail or similar fuel system and improved controllability over minimum delivery quantities.
NOZZLE FOR A FUEL INJECTOR
The present disclosure relates to a nozzle for a fuel injector that comprises a pivotably symmetrical nozzle member having a hollow space for introducing a nozzle needle, a nozzle tip that is provided at a longitudinal end of the nozzle member, and at least one opening for discharging fuel, and a nozzle needle arranged in the hollow space for a selective blocking of a fuel inflow to the at least one opening, wherein the nozzle needle is designed as tubular in the region of the nozzle tip and is adapted to conduct fuel in the interior of the tubular region to the at least one opening.
Fuel injection valve
The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for the intermittent injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine having a housing which has a high pressure chamber and a low pressure chamber. In addition, the fuel injection valve has a control chamber which is divided by means of a control valve into a first and a second control chamber. The control valve in turn has a valve guide and a valve insert, wherein an outflow throttle which connects the first control chamber to the second control chamber is arranged in the valve guide. According to the invention, the connection which is formed by way of the outflow throttle between the first control chamber and the second control chamber can be interrupted temporarily in a targeted manner.
FUEL INJECTION VALVE
A fuel injection valve. The fuel injection valve has a support ring is provided on an inlet connection, which engages under the sealing ring on the inlet side. A plastic overmolding forms at least part of a valve housing. The support ring engaging under the sealing ring is positioned on the fuel injection valve in such a way that it rests directly on an upper end face of the plastic overmolding facing the sealing ring, so that the axial support of the sealing ring is provided indirectly via the plastic overmolding. The fuel injection valve is suitable, in particular, for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing external spark-ignition combustion engine.
Antiwear-coated metal component, in particular for a ball valve, and method for applying a multi-layer antiwear coating in order to produce a component of this type
The invention relates to an antiwear-coated metal component (1), in particular for a ball valve (6), the tribosurface of which component is at least partially provided with a multi-layer antiwear coating (2). The antiwear coating (2) has at least a metal adhesion layer (3a), an adhesion-promoting layer (3b) and at least one first cover layer (3c). The adhesion-promoting layer (3b) comprises a carbide-forming metal or a boride-forming metal. The at least first cover layer (3c) comprises a hydrogen-free tetrahedral carbon. The invention further relates to a method for applying an antiwear coating (2) to a metal substrate (9) in order to produce an antiwear-coated metal component (1) of this type. The invention further relates to a ball valve, comprising an antiwear-coated metal component (1) of this type and an antiwear coating (2).
FUEL INJECTOR NOZZLE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING NEEDLE HAVING FLOW GUIDING TIP FOR DIRECTING FUEL FLOW
A fuel injector includes a nozzle needle movable within an injector housing and including a flow guiding tip. The flow guiding tip includes an outer ramp surface, defining, in profile, a concave curve and a fuel trajectory line tangent to the concave curve and extending through a spray orifice inlet to direct fuel into the same. Related methodology is also disclosed.
Injector apparatus
An injector nozzle having a first part having a stem and a flange, the flange having a flange surface, a body including a wall defining a hole, an annular nozzle ring having a first surface and a second surface wherein the first surface and/or the flange surface include a plurality of grooves, the stem being received in the hole, the first part being secured to the body to secure the nozzle ring in place such that the first surface engages the flange surface, the second surface engages the body, and the plurality of grooves define a plurality of injector holes.

The invention relates to a fuel injector (10), comprising a nozzle body (12) in which a blind hole (19) is formed, wherein at least one injection opening (14) leads off same, comprising a nozzle needle (25; 25a to 25c) that is reciprocatingly movable along a longitudinal axis (18), wherein the nozzle needle (25; 25a-25c) has a valve seat (29) which forms a sealing seat (26) with a seating surface (21) in the nozzle body (12) in a lowered position of the nozzle needle (25; 25a-25c), and comprising at least one borehole (34; 34a-34c) in the nozzle needle (25; 25a-25c), wherein at least some portions of a borehole inlet (36) of the at least one borehole (34; 34a-34c) are located in the region of the seating surface (21) when the sealing seat (26) is formed, and a borehole outlet (40) of the at least one borehole (34; 34a-34c) is located below the valve seat (29) of the nozzle needle (25; 25a-25c) in the direction of the longitudinal axis (18).
Injector
An injector for injecting fuel including an injector housing, a movable nozzle needle with a nozzle needle tip arranged in the injector housing, and a nozzle needle seat for receiving the nozzle needle tip. A contact pairing of the nozzle needle and the nozzle needle seat here represents a mechanical switch that adopts a closed state upon contact of the nozzle needle tip with the nozzle needle seat and an open state upon interruption of the contact. Provision is additionally made that the injector has an input line and an output line for controlling movement of the nozzle needle, the switch has a first connector connected to the input line and a second connector connected to the injector housing, and a resistor connected between the first connector of the switch and the input line.
